@I_H8_U_M8 I decided to build it. I almost had all cards and the rest is ordered. As I just build it as more of a fun deck to see how it works out, I will not play with a playset of Hallowed Fountain , but with the low manacurve this should not have that much of a big impact. I'll tell you how it works out.

My first thought was also: Where's the Brave the Elements ? But you have argumented pretty well why not and now I don't see why I should change my draft deck it to fit it.

Just to let you know, the reason why you need the Hallowed Fountain is for the turn 3 wins. Without it you can only win turn 4+, for example: Turn 1: Hallowed Fountain + Favored Hoplite Turn 2: Plains + Hidden Strings + Aqueous Form + Ethereal Armor + Phalanx Leader Turn 3: Aqueous Form + Ethereal Armor

Is that a typo? How can you play Plains +Hidden Strings +Aqueous Form +Ethereal Armor +Phalanx Leader on turn 2?

First play the Plains then play Hidden Strings untap both your land and cypher it to Favored Hoplite play Aqueous Form + Ethereal Armor onto Favored Hoplite . Swing, Scry, then cast the copy of Hidden Strings untap your lands and cast Phalanx Leader .

Well, I see your argument. In that case I'll see if I can get the shocklands together somehow. Turn 4 winds are not bad, but if it could also be one turn earlier that's even nicer.

[Brave the elements] doesnt protect from a [supreme verdict]. [rootborn defenses] might be an ok sideboard card to prevent wipes on turn 4 if you dont have a God hand. Would prevent any removal. Also [favored hoplite] only prevents damage to him not the whole board, and would only work versus burn not a [supreme verdict] or [doom blade]. I would put in 2-3 copies in the board and take out [ordeal of thassa].

What about Righteous Authority and/or Sphinx's Revelation?

I_H8_U_M8 says... #9

@tebrow77 I'm not side boarding Brave the Elements for that one person who main boards 8 board whips. Silence > Supreme Verdict on turn 4 or 5 at there upkeep phase I cast and I win. those board whips cost 4 mana and greater, I can cast silence on the start of there turn or if they have more then just Supreme Verdict , I use Render Silent .

@redben346 I should have already won before I would ever needed to play Sphinx's Revelation So I don't think I should have it, specially with the low mana curve I have. I kinda have Righteous Authority in the main image... what makes you think I didn't consider it? to give you an answer, it would be the highest CMC in my deck and I would have no cards at that point...

Have you considered sideboard Gainsay against controls decks with blue? And i agree with tebrow77, Rootborn Defenses would be interesting.

I_H8_U_M8 says... #12

@geneRator & tebrow77 That spell is too conditional for sideboard I'd rather put Swan Song instead. The only problem is, for that spell and others that can be useful like Rootborn Defenses is that I honestly don't know what to move, because all side boarded cards have their own specific benefit. I don't think I will sideboard either yet, I need to have time to think about what is best to have. They are in maybe for now.

@geneRator, That's awesome! I think you'll understand my opinion on the cards when you finally start testing it against other decks.

What if you don't have any Hallowed Fountain to use? Which lands could take their place, just two plains and two islands?

October 18, 2013 1:43 a.m.

I_H8_U_M8 says... #16

@Rayle47 Either 4x Azorius Guildgate or 3x Plains and 1x Island .

Surely I will build this deck!!!

I stopped playing for more than seven years ago, when I realized that to have a decent deck I would have spend too much money.

This year some friends invited me to play and I felt in the same situation of years ago. But you proved to me that you can spend very little and have a excelent deck.

Thanks for sharing will soon turn to post a feedback +1

After playtesting the deck quite a bit, I have come to the conclusion that Elite Arcanist , Daxos of Meletis , and Artisan of Forms are just really dead cards in here. I would advise taking them out and add +3 Hopeful Eidolon ,+2 Judge's Familiar , and +1 Spear of Heliod .

October 18, 2013 8:11 a.m.

I_H8_U_M8 says... #20

@firerunner36 Do you know how to use those cards? lol Artisan of Forms is arguably the best heroic card. Target with anything and it can become a copy of an opponents creature. Basically destroys anything green when blocking with it. I understand you may have your opinions, but they are not dead weight in any way, and have often won me matches.

geneRator says... #21

I guess that elite arcanist is the most "dangerous" card, you can't play him if you don't have a way to protect him against removal. he have a giant target in his head

Beautiful.

I_H8_U_M8 says... #24

@geneRator I wouldn't play Elite Arcanist without caution. If I can use him even just the next turn, it is well worth playing because often at that point, its too late for my opponent.

@Seten It might be even cheaper at TrollandToad, CardKingdom or Amazon.
