So this is my standard deck i made for the Theros set. I was looking for some ideas on what cards I could add from Born of the Gods or previous sets. Any help or friendly criticism is wanted. So its pretty straight forward for most of the creatures. Fabled Hero , Favored Hoplite , and Phalanx Leader all work around using instances to pump them. Burst of Strength comes in handy for defensive maneuvers and also getting double counters on my heroic creatures. Giant Growth allows me make a big swing while also allowing me to get a counter on one of my heroic creatures. Gods Willing allows me to protect my creatures once they are pumped, gives a counter to heroic creatures, and also allows me to scry. Selesnya Charm works really well in all situations. Its really beneficial when I use it on Fabled Hero because it allows me to get a lot of damage through. My biggest swing I have been able to make is a 14 point swing with him. Warriors' Lesson allows me to target two creatures with heroic, giving them counters and allowing me to draws cards if they deal damage. This works really well with Fabled Hero because if he can deal damage twice and allow me to draw two cards. I have Fleetfeather Sandals in here to give me some evasion, but I am thinking about taking them out. Fleecemane Lion works well because its a 3/3 for 2 mana and its well as a mana dump. Mistcutter Hydra is my main mana dump and allows me to be able to make a quick blow at the enemy. Both Ordeal of Heliod and Ordeal of Nylea work well because they can trigger heroic and give me a major advantage in a match. I really like having a low mana curve because it allows me have a major advantage at the beginning and gives me an opening late game for Fleecemane Lion or Mistcutter Hydra . This is the first standard deck I have built in a while, so I hope you guys like it and an give me some useful info.
