Flashing in Dragonlord Dromoka in response to a spell being cast will not prevent the spell from being cast. It's still a great card, though.

Thanks Roccovsky, I get it now. Any spell they could cast on my turn is an instant as well, so there's no way to use flash to take away the opponents chance to play a card they otherwise could have before Dragonlord Dromoka resolves. So the best thing to do is wait until the very end of their turn before casting Chord of Calling + Dragonlord Dromoka .
Dragonlord Dromoka is an upgraded Archetype of Endurance. This is way better then giving all my creatures hexproof. It doesn't matter that it doesn't protect anything on the opponents turn because Aspect of Hydra + Battle Mastery and Surrak, the Hunt Caller win this turn.
I think I might rename this deck, maybe just call it 'Better then a Hexproof Badger'

I gotta spill a cool combo that i don't see in here that i think you should put in here, here goes:Midnight Guard put Setessan Tactics on Midnight Guard then tap it and poke Hornet Nest for 3 (Setessan Tactics +1/+1, get 3 wasps, untap Midnight Guard because a creature entered the battlefield this turn, then repeat, it works because the wording on Setessan Tactics say target creature, not target creature you don't control. So...INFINITE 1/1 FLYING DEATHTOUCH HORNETS!!!

Hornet Nest kind of dies after being hit by the guard .-.

Ahah i remeber now! the other part is you gotta play Ephemeral Shields

It's a powerful combo, but not at all what I want to do with this deck. It's a specific 4 card combo, It seems really unlikely to happen, plus all your friends would hate you.

Well, that is if you have friends jk, anyways, the thing is all those cards are pretty decent by themselves so if you don't get the combo your not fcked.

And to add to that, the deck works pretty well running that combo even if you don't get it because a friends of mine had the deck before his family pressured the crap out of him to stop playing because they were devout Christians that thought it was a demonic game.

yeah i didn't know he quite until 3 weeks after, that day he gave me his play set of Temple of Malice i was borrowing and that wasn't like him, so 3 weeks later when i wasn't seeing him i asked a friend who knew him better and got the story from him.

why is Doomwake Giant in the side? I would like a few more Mastery of the Unseen in the side in its place against control it is a monster

Both Mastery of the Unseen and Doomwake Giant are new to this deck. I'm excited about Doomwake Giant because I never had a good way to deal with tokens and no-one will see it coming. I can easily play it with four Chord of Calling and two Shaman of Forgotten Ways. About Mastery of the Unseen my deck isn't really optimized for it. I don't have enough creatures or enough white mana. If it works out better then I think I'll add one or two more.

Elvish Mystic and Sylvan Caryatid would help you cast everything earlier, and post-sideboard, cast Doomwake Giant from your hand.

I deliberately have no ramp creatures here, I find without any card draw I want every card to be powerful. I'll sideboard in the fourth Chord of Calling and both Shaman of Forgotten Ways along with the Doomwake Giant, seems reliable enough to me.
I have played around with a single Elvish Mystic or Sylvan Caryatid along with Chord of Calling, it was sort of good because you can pay for it with convoke and save a game stuck on two or three lands.

I'm going to guess the deck is no longer weak to "the purest aggro list". Should edit that bit of the description. My guess is in exchange it became weaker to control lists. It takes more work to get aggressive with Hornet Nest, and that Silumgar that gives creatures -1/-1 will wreck your hornets.

(of course you'd probably side them out for something else, I'm sure.)

Ya I was mainly thinking about Abzan Aggro. I figure it should do ok against mono red with Dromoka's Command and Hornet Nest followed by bigger creatures. I can do alright against more control heavy decks by siding in cards like Mastery of the Unseen, Dragonlord Dromoka, Archetype of Endurance in place of the hornets. I will rewrite that part somehow, thanks.

No, you can't target my Charging Badger! It's not even in the deck! Can't get more hexproof than that! Nice list. I'm working on a similar build that's GR but mostly G. Get a little trample or deathtouch guy, attack, and then Aspect of Hydra followed by a Crater's Claws with the remaining mana.
