Trying to build a competitive aura deck here in standard. I have seen a faster naya versions of this run extremely well With Madcap Skills but i have challenged myself to built something more well-rounded and unassuming. I feel this will this runs more consistently against blue white, mid range selesnya, and aggro. As fantastic as blue would be to add here, I simply enjoy the hate and removal from black. Breaking it, down my sideboard almost completely changes the deck while still maintaining the aura theme. I have Orzhov Charm to combat board clear and "player sacrifices a creature" cards as well as Abrupt Decay to combat opponents targeting my auras with cards such as Detention Sphere and the likes. I have decided while I have black splashed in, to run Agent of the Fates to also help control aggro and selesnya mid range. I enjoy this deck very much and it is a blast to play. I have been looking for a late game creature or planeswalker to put in my deck for those matches that do go the distance and all I can think of is either Elspeth, Sun's Champion or Reaper of the Wilds maybe. Took FNM with a 5-0 run. My sideboard really confused and threw off a lot of my opponents because of the hate and removal I splashed in. Agent of the fates took care of [[desecration demons] and Archangel of Thune. My closest matches were U/W control with Jace, Architect of Thought and Elspeth, Sun's Champion but i had a Murder Investigation on my hero of iroas when he Supreme Verdicted me and I received 11 1/1 tokens on the field. It won me the third game and went 2-1 against both U/W control decks. Played esper in the finals and thoughtseize was really my only problem besides Blood Baron of Vizkopa. Went 2-0 had two great hands but it took almost all play time to Finish those two games. I love playing this deck because I can change some of the mechanics and it still works well each week.
