I'd like to see it as a finished product, but so far it is making me laugh. Keep up the good work.

Thanks! Still trying to decide what creatures to add with good ETB/LTB effects. Considering Garruk, Caller of Beasts to help me dig more creatures out.

Awesome looking deck, might i suggest Conjurer's Closet for another way to trigger ETB effects. Also Strionic Resonator since it looks like you have some very powerful triggered abilities. +1 from me already

I thought about Strionic Resonator initially, but with the way my creatures frequently return with Lifeline and the Undying granted from Mikaeus, the Unhallowed it ended up not making much of a difference. To me, Conjurer's Closet just doesn't seem to fit because I almost always have a way to make my creatures leave play and return either immediately or later in the turn already. Plus, I don't believe the blink effect triggers Grave Pact which is one of the central focuses of the deck.

I don't like Leyline of the Void in here because it stops Kresh the Bloodbraided 's own ability. They have to "DIE" which means they have to hit graveyard for it to trigger.

Instead of Parallel Lives I would run Doubling Season . It's the same thing, but it also gives you double +1/+1 counters on creatures, AND gives your planeswalkers double loyalty counters on ETB and ability usage.

I don't like Descendants' Path path because your deck is only 21% creatures. You will lose an important draw more times than not. If you really want to abuse your top deck that much, I suggest Sensei's Divining Top in place of that.

If you are feeling the deck needs a bit more draw, use Bloodgift Demon or Phyrexian Arena for this. Both are good and give you definite draw.

Since you're already playing Fleshbag Marauder , why don't you go for broke and play Slum Reaper as well? Does the exact same thing, but one mana more, and also one power stronger.

Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord would be a nice creature addition in here. With your GIANT Kresh, you can sac him and kill everyone multiplayer. Seems ok to me.

Another decent creature is Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger to give you mana ramp and lock your opponents land down. Really helpful against control EDH decks.

What I'm going off is my own version of Kresh for EDH. Here is my list.

I'll Kresh Your Things!

I know they don't pump up Kresh in that case. I'm actually not that worried about doing that. Most of the time he doesn't even see play. Leyline of the Void is more of a way to keep their creatures from coming back while mine do when Lifeline is in play. When I do play Kresh, I get enough pump triggers from my own creatures dying.

Descendants' Path will be coming out at some point. I'm just not sure what for yet. I'm already running Top.

I might consider Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord . I always seem to overlook the fact that he says EACH opponent, which is better than Fling , which I used to run to imprint onto Isochron Scepter , but removed due to it under-performing.

I plan to run Doubling Season over Parallel Lives . Just have to get my hands on one again.

Thought about Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger initially, but I can't remember why I decided against it.

I think I'll try out Jarad and Vorniclex in place of Descendants' Path and Death's Presence and see how it goes. Thanks

Keep Death's Presence cause it gives Kresh a double death trigger when your creature dies. Makes his "FLING" all the stronger

Squirrel Nest + Earthcraft for infinite squirrels.

I mentioned in the description that I didn't want to include that in here. It just takes the thought out of playing. Once I add in Phyrexian Altar , I'll have a way to get infinite squirrels, but it takes a lot more work and can fly under the radar easier while I'm setting it up...all while keeping their board under control with my Grave Pact effects.

Liege of the Hollows ? Krosan Beast ?

I know its not really within your theme but I like having Thopter Assembly for a constant supply of artifacts or creatures to sac, Heartstone to make saccing cheaper (or Ant Queen 's insects cheaper) and a few recurring enchantments like Rancor , Sluggishness , Sleeper's Guile etc that I can sac over and over.

If you get Conspiracy out, Mana Echoes could give you massive amounts of colorless mana. Deranged Hermit would give you a minimum 25 mana each time you cast it, much more if you had any other creatures on the field).

Cool deck.

Would you consider running Attrition ? It synergizes really well with the Mikaeus+Woodfall Primus +Grave Pact shenanigans. For that matter, so does Birthing Pod , although you dont really have 9-drops for that.

I think I'm good on sac outlets. The thing I like about Grave Pact effects is that they don't target so it can get around Hexproof and Shroud.

I don't know if I've said this before, but Rancor makes for a 2GG engine.

I like how well that would work with Shattergang Brothers . Might have to test it out. Thanks

When I made a shattergang deck, I added hammer of purphoros, I know it may not fit your deck's play style but it's tokens can be sacrificed to every one of shatterbro's abilities, worth consideration if you haven't thought of it already

ljs54321 says... #21

Hammer is definitely worth looking into. I wouldn't have the slightest idea what to swap out for it though.

Hamletback Goliath has always seemed a very clunky card to me, its a 7 drop that really does nothing by itself, it's a cool card design-wise, but I've never found a good use for it.I would take that out, you can do much better stuff with the mana, no use in heightening your curve for a sub-par card.It all comes down to your personal discretion though

February 27, 2014 1:03 a.m.

Rofelos says... #23

I'd think about cutting amulet and elvish piper, your curve ends at 7 or 8, which isn't that high in commander. Phyrexian Arena ?

February 27, 2014 9:53 p.m.

ljs54321 says... #24

Amulet and Piper aren't in here as much because of the curve as they are for their ability to get around counters and their ability to use them as combat tricks and bring creatures in on my opponent's turn. There's nothing like using Piper to bring in Molten Primordial after my opponent declares attackers and stealing one of their attackers to chump block another. Especially when I have Grave Pact out.
