Burning-Tree Emissary is working against you in this deck as there are only a handfull of cards that can be played using the mana it generates.

Lightning Mauler helps at every step of the game, allowing you to creep in that extra damage. Silverblade Paladin does the same.

I have a love for Ghor-Clan Rampager for the uncounterable critter boost and will always say you need more of them. Especially if you are playing the late-game bombs and have the mana to spare.

I would be curious to know how it runs with Blind Obedience . I would suggest siding it to drop two in with Thragtusk for the aggro decks. But, sides are usually meta.

you know, I thought the same with BTE, not much out on paper to extend with it, I have not been able to play test this much against my meta yet, however in the few games that I did i got good use out of it from this list. first game, turn 2 dropped the emissary, and was able to drop a zealot with it. next turn drew another, and was able to drop it and cast naturalize to get rid of opponents blind obedience.

Blind obedience had worked every game for me, stops aggro dead in its tracks or keeps a good chunk of the board clear for my swingers. (most of the decks I played did not include remove enchantment, therefore that stupid 1 naturalize in mine). I would love to add Mauler and perhaps Mayor to main deck, but what to cut? the 2 farseek / blind obedience, and naturalize for 4 of?

or maybe i should cut the BTE and just run 4x silverblade?

You'd have to play it through a bunch to work out what is dead in the deck. I would def. suggest working in Hellrider as well.

Maybe Bonfire of the Damned just for good measure?

I do not want to influence your deck too much though.

Here is my deck list, take from it what you will as it is a different strategy completely. There's no DeNayan

i like yours for mid range. I will take it this weekend and see how I fare in all the local metas.

I am thinking i will be cutting it for hell rider or silverblade, but we will end up seeing how well it performs.

sideboarded the Naturalize / Gruul Charm . cut 1 searing spear, and added 3 Mayor of Avabruck  Flip

I like Flinthoof Boar in this deck. I agree with the above about Burning-Tree Emissary . You have quite a bit of white to really take advantage of her. I wouldn't mind seeing how it ran without the silverblades. Also, I like the idea of parish T1, burning tree into Mayor T2, Lightning mauler and boros elite T3, then soulbonding frontline medic and swinging indestrucible T4. You could do it T3 but I like waiting a turn and getting more creatures. Lightning mauler fits well i think, I might recommend:4 frontline, 2 ghor clan, 4 experiment one, 4 mayor, no silverblade, no ash zealot, and I may put flinthoof. I think I like Hellrider over reckoner in this deck, and instead of blasohemous act I might add a boros charm. I like the originality of the deck though.

I might actually go 4x silver blade, he's a champ in this deck. Pumps the champion and makes the cow twice as deadly.

I like a pump on silverblade, he's too easily burned to death before attacks and you lose his double strike

I have an idea for this deck, with 4 frontline medics you get your creatures indestructible until end of turn. 2nd main phase you blasphemous act with reckoner out, no one dies. Then same combo with boros charm if you don't have medic. I think I'd run 1 or maybe 2 more medics and 4 boros charms. Of course you'd have to add blasphemous act as well, which seems tough at this point. If you can figure out which cards you want to keep I like the idea of strong aggro early then finishing turn 5 with blasphemous act. If they survive, you keep your creatures with medic or boros charm.

Sorry for overcommenting but I do like lightning mauler more than boros elite and ash zealot. Zealot is a sb card in this deck for me. Burning tree in to mauler, next turn medic into damage.

So I took the Silverblade Paladin out, added Inquisitor's Flail . took 1 Ghor-Clan Rampager out to add a second Blasphemous Act .

Boros Reckoner equipped with Inquisitor's Flail hit with a Blasphemous Act = 52 to the dome btw....

it was too epic to pass up, will have to playtest it more to see the dead cards...I might do the following swap though:

4 Ash Zealot -> Lightning Mauler

and

4 Boros Elite -> Silverblade Paladin

Don't run Blasphemous Act without Boros Reckoner

Khanye says... #15

i recently took the Boros Reckoner out and put the Hellrider in, forgot to replace the Blasphemous Act . Thundermaw Hellkite is its place? or just another Kessig Wolf Run

Hellrider is fine

May 2, 2013 1:07 p.m.

Skyknight Legionnaire does pump the Champion of the Parish , comes out a turn earlier, and swings through the air. hellrider is champ yes, but would the legionnare have a place in here?

May 2, 2013 1:16 p.m.

I'd say drop Aurelia, the Warleader and one copy of Frontline Medic in favor of two copies of Experiment One . The change will bring down your curve, which a blitz deck wants, while giving another cheap way to pump your Champion of the Parish .

His regenerate ability also comes in handy against Wrath effects, which your deck can be weak to.

Khanye says... #19

landgrafb good suggestion. i will make the changes...i was actually thinking of going 3 Experiment One and only 2 Frontline Medic . thoughts?

May 6, 2013 3:19 p.m.

thundermaw is too slow and with only 21 land you will barely ever be able to him.

May 6, 2013 3:40 p.m.

Khanye says... #21

hes just a finisher...5 mana is not hard to do by turn 5. literally just a finisher, in case something went wrong between turn 1-4

Good sideboard cards for blitz against blitz isn't board wipes, Boros Reckoner is a good roadblock/attacker and aggressive stuff with lifelink is also good Unflinching Courage , Nearheath Pilgrim .

May 16, 2013 1:06 p.m.

Khanye says... #23

the way I lose to those decks is they usually get a 2 for 1 board presence on me somehow. or a few flinthoofs are out and swinging like champs. i guess Boros Reckoner would be a good road block, ill sideboard it in. thanks

Lol, thanks nedwards850. Once the blitz comes online, (usually turn 2), the title fits even more
