2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride and 2 Domri Rade ?

in playtests so far, Ajani, Caller of the Pride has been amazing....turn 2 Burning-Tree Emissary + Madcap Skills into turn 3 Ajani, Caller of the Pride and using his -3 to give BTE double strike + flying has been pretty killer.

Thinking about replacing Madcap Skills with Wild Beastmaster , it doesn't benefit from Burning-Tree Emissary but swings like a champ if synced with a bloodrush ability

a few times. need to playtest more. usually can do upwards of 14-15 dmg before Supreme Verdict hits. Master of Waves is a bit annoying, but usually if Madcap Skills resolves and sticks for a turn or two, it is pretty hard to come back from. would love more feedback if possible, please playtest

added Last Breath for Voice of Resurgence , Master of Waves , Nightveil Specter . Celestial Flare for Blood Baron of Vizkopa , which can also be handled by Mizzium Mortars . Stormbreath Dragon might be helpful against esper, post board wipe.

i think you'd be better off with Madcap Skills over Wild Beastmaster

dude take dryad militant out for a rakdos cackler or an akroan crusader or a fire drinker satyr. Its effectively just a plain 2/1 in any matchup and there isnt really any good decks that interact with instants or sorceries in the grave yard

and honestly i think its more beneficial to just scrap white from the deck all together. You will effectively play with a lower life total each game due to the 12 forced shock lands main board from the triple color. Boros charm does work and all but you cant justify the ajani in the deck over xenagos or domri and loxodon effectively just a plan 4/4 for 3 and in a deck thats trying to rush its fine but there are plenty of other cards for 3 mana like chandras phoenix that fit better into a fast deck type.

Playtest Round 1:

MY Hand: Overgrown Tomb , Mountain , Blood Crypt , Forest , Stormbreath Dragon , Fanatic of Xenagos and Scavenging Ooze . Keep

Your Hand: Plains , Mountain , Temple Garden , 2x Madcap Skills , Boros Charm , Dryad Militant . one creature but this deck is almost all creatures so we'll play this hand.

I'm on the play.

Me Turn 1 (M1): Overgrown Tomb

You Turn 1: (Y1): Draw Experiment One .We're gonna play Dryad Militant here, seeing as our next move is to use madcap skills evolve won't trigger anyways. Plains > Dryad Militant

M2: Draws Stomping Ground , plays Mountain , Scavenging Ooze

Y2: Draws Ghor-Clan Rampager , plays Mountain , Madcap Skills swing for 5.

M3: Draws Stormbreath Dragon , plays Forest , Fanatic of Xenagos , you choose to pay tribute as Boros Charm will let your creature survive it's next attack if i block.

Y3: Draws Burning-Tree Emissary , swings with Dryad Militant I declare both my creatures blocking to trade with this nusance and immediately regret it as you use Boros Charm to make it indestructible (could have given it double strike but then it would die to, Fanatic of Xenagos is toast.) plays Temple Garden , shocking two to play Experiment One .

M4: Draws BTE, plays BTE and a Blood Crypt .

Y4: Draws Magma Jet , plays BTE and Magma Jet 's my ooze. scry 2 Ghor-Clan Rampager and Experiment One . Experiment bottom, ghorclan top. Swing for 5, can't block it.

M5: Draws Stomping Ground . (really, stop with the lands!). plays Stomping Ground , shocking to play Stormbreath Dragon no attacks.

Y5: draws ghor, attack with everything, i double block the militant you bloodrush. I lose both dudes and go to 1 life, your militant is dead.

M6: DRAW ANOTHER STOMPING GROUND!!!!! Concede.

Jesus, I'll have to re-do that at some point, i got land flooded like a beast.

I'll probably add the next round or two tommorow. It's getting late.

Round 2

My Hand: burning-tree emissary, mountain, blood crypt, putrefy, 2xstormbreath dragon domri rade. Not the best starting hand, but a forest or two and we should be okay. Keep.

Your hand: forest, plains, sacred foundry, temple garden, burning-tree emissary, boros charm, madcap skills. A little land heavy but we have a good turn 2 and 3 play so we'll play.

My deck lost the last match so I choose to start.

M1: blood crypt pass

Y1: Draw ajani, caller of the pride, temple garden pass

M2: Draw fanatic of xenagos, play mountain, bte pass

Y2: Draw boros charm, play forest BTE > madcap skills

M3: Draw BTE, not what i wanted. play it.

Y3: Draw temple of abandon. play sacred foundry shocking self for 2. Swing with BTE, i'm gonna be conservative and not block, boros charm double strike i take 10.

M4: Draw fanatic of xenagos .... concede.

Let's do that again...

Round 3:

My Hand: 2x overgrown tomb, 1xstomping ground, 1x domri rade, 1xkalonian hydra, 1x xenagos, god of revels, 1x abrupt decay. BETTER

Your Hand: loxodon smiter, dryad militant, stomping ground, boros charm, burning-tree emissary soldier of the pantheon temple garden. Also good.

I'll let you start due to my lack of low cmc creatures.

Y1: temple garden shock soldier of pantheon

M1: draw blood crypt, play a tomb.

Y2: draw experiment one, play stomping groundshock experiment one > dryad miltant swing 2

M2: draw mountain, blood crypt pass

Y3: Draw sacred foundry play it shock, play loxodon smiter swing for 7.

M4: Draw scooze, yay. play domri rade, +1 reveal flame-wreathed phoenix. pass

Y4: draw doesn't matter, boros charm swing for lethal.

These playtests aren't going well at all, one alst time!

Round 4:

Yhand: ajani, mountain, experiment one, sacred foundry, soldier of the pantheon, temple garden, mountain

me: shrine, blood crypt, 2xstomping ground, 2x elvish mystic, domri rade. ok...ish.

M1: stomping ground shock, mystic

Y1 draw plains, temple garden shock experiment one

m2 draw BTE GREAT THANK YOU MTG GODS!!!! nykthos shrine, BTE, Domri, +1 reveal nothing. bummer.

y2: stomping ground, sacred foundry no burn, soldier of the panth, evolve swing at dom, trades with BTE

m3: draw overgrown tomb, +1 reveal BTE, play tomb, play bte and mystic for free.

y3: draw temple garden, play plains, ajani +1 soldier gets a counter pass

m4: draw kalonian hydra, yay, +1 domri nothing, tap shrine and other lands for 5 green play the hydra. and a stomping ground tapped.

y4: draw bte play BTE, seeing as we can't power creep here with counters seeing as daddy of counters is looming over on revel in powers side, we -3 ajani to swing the soldier at domri taking him out.

m5: draw mountain, play blood crypt, swing with the hydra. you take 8.

y5 draw another ajani, seeing as i didn't attack ajani last turn, i'm unlikey too now, +1 ajani, play ajani sac old one +1 ajani.

m6 draw tomb, nice creepage mines better though, swing for 16 double block puts you down to 4.

y6 draw soldier of the pantheon, concede.

Conclusion, your deck has a great aggressive line up early game, but the lack of late game threats can cost you. I would think about including something with a bit more muscle, or Chained to the Rocks in case your opponent brings out something your weenies can't handle.

Maybe take out Magma Jet and replace them with Chained to the Rocks overall the decks look pretty op:-)

I know it's been said before but I think you deck needs just a little more fat.

thanks for the comments guys. I have not run into problems with bigger creatures yet, as either Madcap Skills lets me swing past them or Selesnya Charm exiles them before they can do anything relevant.

Green devotion has the chance to get things out early, but again Madcap Skills or a bloodrush from Ghor-Clan Rampager helps me get past. Wild Beastmaster swinging can pretty much end the game, even if she gets killed since almost always I end up blood rushing her on the attack giving everything else +5/+5.
