Maybeboard

Entropy expressed in a commander deck, illustrating the slow, horrifying, yet inevitable march of the universe toward heat death. To me this deck has been both an expression and outlet for my anxiety with regard to that eventuality, and I have spared no expense. There could be a budget version of this built, and I'm totally for that, but I needed the best of everything for this project. Unfortunately, the price of most of the cards have doubled since I've built this deck, and it doesn't look like getting some of them will ever get any easier. WotC really does need to reprint this stuff and, even though I already have these cards, I'd like to see some of the RL get printed, especially duals (and maybe tabby should be banned in EDH idk.)

I've made enormous changes to this deck over the years and paradox engine got banned. I need to tune up the land base a little but this deck is faster, more focused and has better recursion. I've also removed all of the creatures. Also, other decks have come out with similar builds, I assume independently, many of them with Nekusar instead. I've decided to take a different route, or rather, to stay on the route I was already on. Instead of allowing my opponents to get any free cards and potentially punishing them for that later, I'm always making them discard and punishing them for that. If you get Waste Not on the battlefield and play any of the cards that are like Wheel of Fortune , you'll probably draw into another wheel, and then maybe some recursion, you'll get some extra mana to spend, and you will usually win that turn. I do still have the Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter combo in there, but I wouldn't over extend trying to get it. If you get it fine, otherwise, consider putting something else under that IS. Consider your graveyard part of your hand, there is so much recursion in here. I know it seems odd to put Phyrexian Altar in a deck that doesn't have any creatures in the 99, but with Waste Not it's just too good. Anything that isn't a wheel, a Megrim , or recursion is there to either protect your own spells or to slow down your opponents trying to blow up your board. The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale isn't necessary, and I took out the Chains because it really didn't help me much and is just expensive for no reason. You can slot Pendrell Mists in, but I definitely think you should use something like that since you can't protect against attacks very well. Either way this deck is meant to be played aggressively and viciously.
