For squire1
's Alternate Win Challenge.
The deck is based around Chance Encounter.
Krark's Thumb makes it easier to achieve the win condition and your flips become increasingly easier to win with each one you get out.
Fiery Gambit and
Squee's Revenge
both give you the opportunity to flip many coins, while also giving you the chance to draw many cards.
Karplusan Minotaur
is just a coin-flipping fiend.
Due to
Goblin Artisans
' errata, it now allows you to draw a card if you win the coin flip with no drawbacks for losing the flip, unless you currently have an artifact on the stack. So, just don't use it while Krark's Thumb is on the stack...
Gamble is flavorful, plus you can search for missing pieces of the winning strategy.
Into the Roil and Negate are used for general defense, plus they will surely be effective against many of the other decks in this challenge.
Burning Wish can be used to get cards out of the sideboard that are especially effective against certain decks in this challenge (Chain Reaction against
Epic Struggle
;
Flashfires
against
Barren Glory
, Life Gain, and
The Cheese Stands Alone
;
Legerdemain
against
Platinum Angel
or Darksteel Reactor; Reminisce against Mill and
Mortal Combat
; and Wash Out against Helix Pinnacle or any other nonred deck).
Stitch in Time
can also be retrieved if chances are high that I'll get the extra turn.
Finally, Clockspinning helps gets counters on Chance Encounter, while also allowing to take counters off of any of your opponent's cards (such as Darksteel Reactor).
