Gameplay

Start with Vannifar and any {1} CMC creature on board, and {4} available

1. Sacrifice {1} CMC creature to Vannifar, getting Monitor untapping Vannifar
2. Sac Monitor > Rallier, which reanimates Monitor, untap
3. Sac Monitor > Mimic   copying Rallier, get Monitor, untap
4. Repeat step (3.). We need 3 Ralliers: 1 to sac later, 1 which count as a Warrior, and 1 that counts as a Rogue (3 party members for Electromancer).
5. Sac Rallier > Emiel
6. Pay {3} to Emiel: blink Monitor, untap
7. Sac Monitor > Zirda
8. Pay {1} to Emiel: blink Rallier, get Monitor, untap
9. Sac Monitor > Electromancer, gain {R}{R}. Now we can blink Ardent Electromancer for {1} gaining {R}{R}, giving infinite mana. So we can blink Rallier and Monitor infinitely to tutor all creatures from our deck.
10. Three ways of winning:
    • Tutor Basalt Ravager and blink it 4 times to kill the opponent
    • Wall of Lost Thoughts can be substituted for Ravager to eke a small advantage (castable when drawn, and can be reanimated with Shaman if killed/discarded/milled). However, this requires very proficient dexterity to combo within time limit (since it takes 13 blinks instead of 4).
    • Tutors lots of creatures, blink Skyclave Apparition to exile opponent's board, and blink Knight of Autumn for infinite life. Preferably leave up at least {1} so we can blink our combo pieces in response to removal (tutor Uro if necessary to get the extra land). We can also draw extra cards with Uro but his animation is very time-consuming.

Other Lines of Play

Combo with just Vannifar + Shaman + {2}{G}{U} on board Show

1. Pay {G} to tutor Monitor
2. Sac Shaman > Zirda
3. Pay {1}{U} to cast Monitor, untap
4. Execute main combo, skipping step (6.) because we already have Zirda

Meddling Mage Prison Show

If we tutor Meddling with Shaman, the next two turns we can follow up by tutoring Mimic   to copy Meddling, locking out important cards. This is particularly good by locking out Wrath of God following by other removal, combo pieces, etc.

Beating board wipe with Shaman + combo Show

We often don't have time or are too lazy to execute the full combo, so we just build a big board and pass the turn. Then opponent plays Wrath of God... Not to worry!

1. Generate some {R} using the combo
2. Convert {R} into {G}. There are a few ways to do this:
   • If we have Llanowar Elves, just untap it
   • If we have BTE, we can blink it
   • If we have Uro, we can blink it to hit some green lands
3. Pay {G} to tutor Selfless Savior with Shaman
4. Pay {G} to discard Selfless Savior with Shaman, tutoring whatever
5. Blink Rallier repeatedly to reanimate Selfless Savior, making our board indestructible

The only reason we needed the Shaman and {G}{G} was to execute this at instant speed. If we had the foresight to tutor Selfless Savior ahead of time, we could just skip to (5.).

What happens if we draw these combo pieces?

Drawing multiple combo pieces may make the combo more difficult (but sometimes it's actually easier). Before going into detail, here are the rules of thumb for going off with missing combo pieces:

• Even if we can't combo off (e.g. have no mana), we can always make a board of Ralliers and Rallier Mimic  s for free
• Even when we draw 1-3 pieces of our combo, we still need no more than {5} to off
• Only when drawing 4+, we might be in trouble and have to take an extra turn casting combo pieces
• It doesn't matter if Monitor or Wall of Lost Thoughts are in the grave because we can just get them back with Rallier. We can't combo if all copies of the more expensive pieces are gone, but there's typically a lot we can still do.

So here's what to do if we draw the following combo pieces: Show

1x Rallier: Unneeded - it's backup! Just tutor the other Rallier and copy with Mimic  .

2x Rallier: No problem! Still only need {2}{G}{W} mana. Just cast one instead of steps (3.), (6.), and (7.) of the main combo.

Monitor: With Monitor in hand, we don't even need a {1} CMC creature, and can even win with less mana in some of these scenarios:

• No saccable creature and {5}{U} available: Play Monitor and sacrifice, continuing from step (2.) of main combo.
• {3} CMC creature and {2}{U}: Sacrifice it for Emiel. Cast Monitor and end up with Zirda.
• {2} CMC creature and {2}{U}: Sacrifice it for Zirda. Cast Monitor and end up with Emiel.
• {1} CMC creature and {3}{U}: Sacrifice it for BTE and play Monitor. This added {RG}{RG} and cost {1}{U}, so we still have the same amount of mana (color won't matter). Then proceed with combo as usual.

Electromancer: Two scenarios:

• {3}{R} available: Casting Electromancer after (4.) is free. Then proceed with combo.
• {5}: Execute combo through (8.). Then pay {1} to blink Rallier reanimating {1} CMC creature. Pay {1} to blink Rallier, Monitor > BTE. Now blink BTE for infinite mana.

Zirda: Still only need {2}{W}{W} mana. Just cast it instead of (6.) and (7.), which costs {1}{W}{W} but saves us {3} since we skip (6.)

1x Emiel: Unneeded - it's backup! Just tutor the other one.

2x Emiel: Need {3}{W}{W}. Cast it and tutor Zirda on step (5.).

Mulligans

Mulligan any 7-card hand without Vannifar, Shaman, or Sisay. Will write more about this later.
