You really should only have 4-5 anthems at most.

It makes it easier to combat midrange creatures, like goyf.

It's not necessary. You only need one anthem, there are better spots for your other cards. Take a look at some b/w decks that have top8ed high stakes tournaments. The most anthems you will see is 5.
