Yea I know, it was my placeholder for the time while I searched for the most suitable land to fit in there.

Great games today. Never thought a entire deck of one drops could be so competitive. The synergy between cards is pretty good.

The Biovisionary/Biomancer deck you wanted to see -Visionary win. I Might try this deck. Looks cool.

What happens in the case of a boardwipe? Can this deck possibly recover from a turn 4 Supreme Verdict?
February 27, 2013 2:41 p.m.
I really like this deck. It's a lot of fun to play. I know you've gone for the 1 drop here, but what do you think about Quirion Dryad? It seems to fit nicely with every single spell being 1 mana. How would you incorporate it?

skygoy It is quite possible to survive a Supreme Verdict, especially if you have an Experiment One and/or Young Wolf. You can even combo the two together:
2/2 Wolf Bioshift to Experiment to Regen also retriggering the Undying on the wolf. Often board wipes will get you working from the ground up again, so if that's the case, sometimes not playing everything early is smarter.
As for Jaego, I plan on sticking to the One Mana theme. Quirion Dryad would be good if you didn't want to though yes. Or you can use a Blistercoil Weird instead if you want. Even Nivmagus Elemental can be fesable against counter decks or just to make more use of the instant cards you may be stuck with in your hand.

My favorite one drop in standard is the vampire pimpwalker, also known as Stromkirk Noble. He also has powerful synergy with the rest of your deck, grabbing counters all over the place.

I could be wrong but maybe Jaego meant to say Dryad Militant not Quirion Dryad.. It's an easy mix up.

This is a great deck. I'd be a little worried about the possibility of being stuck with an empty hand and relying on top-decking after a few turns.. If things last that long. +1

Nivmagus Elemental seems a reasonable sb against burn/counter/removal-heavy.

+1 as this is amazing. I love the one mana theme and I've been trying to find a decent RUG deck.
The only change I would make is to remove Nivmagus Elemental and add Stromkirk Noble as you don't have an excess of instants and sorceries, although you do have enough of them to mean that the Elemental has a place in the deck if you want to keep him.

It's a shame it doesn't fit the 1cmc theme, or the deck colors, but dropping Immortal Servitude mid/late game could be epic.

KrosanTusker I appreciate the +1 and the idea. There's a couple reasons I'd prefer Nivmagus Elemental over Stromkirk Noble.
First, Nivmagus can trigger Evolve more for both Experiment And Raptor.
Second, in mid/late draws, It would be a better drop on its own.
Third, it can make use of instant/sorcery cards in your hand that otherwise don't have full synergy.
Fourth, you can double combo Artful Dodge flashback and turn 2 cards into a 3/4 unblockable creature in one turn.
Dusty8807 Yes that would be hilarious I agree. There are definitely decks based around that card and 1cmc creatures.

A very Important thing to remember with your young wolf + rapid hypridization trick is the "intervening if" clause in evolve meaning If evolve triggers, the stat comparison will happen again when the ability tries to resolve. If neither stat of the new creature is greater, the ability will do nothing. Still very cool deck +1

Ever considered Slitherhead ? It is a one drop you can use with rapid hybridization and then put the counter wherever you want, or save it for later at no cost.

You need a draw engine. Or you'll run out of steam quickly

I made a 1 mana deck once, just kind of to get a friend into magic... did surprisingly well but I didn't think such a deck could be as good as this. Impressing.

I don't think Evolving Wilds can search for any of your lands... they're all non-basic... It's different from a card like like Farseek where you search for a forest for example...
