This deck is designed for creature production and attacking as a massive legion/army, backed up by the angels in the sky and the gods themselves. The spells in this deck that don't produce mana are there for those very purposes. Since this deck has a fairly high mana curve, all the artifacts except the spear are here for mana ramp. Aurelia acts as commander leading the angels, backed up by both Avacyn's, Anya, Razia, Iona, both Gisela's, Baneslayer Angel, Angle of Jubilation, Herald of War, Linvala, Keeper of Silence and Bruna, the Fading Light. Urza's Incubator allows me to summon my angels more easily. Avacyn Angel of Hope's ability combined with Knight Errant Elspeth's ukt ability make all of my stuff indestructible, protecting me from wraths and other destruction cards. Urabrask and Elesh Norn buff my creatues, debuff my opponete's creatures, and in Urabrask's case force my opposition's creatures into play tapped. Thalia Heretic Cathar also forces my opposition's creatures into play tapped, plus their non basic lands. This deck does control well with True Believer protecting me with shroud, Linvala and Grand Abolisher both control what my opposition can and cannot do. When Gisela and Bruna transform into Brisela, Voice of Nightmares is when control really gets tight for the opposition. Both Elspeth's can buff creatures and spawn tokens as well. Assemble the Legion, White Sun's Zenith, Rise of the Hobgoblins, Decree of Justice, Secure the Wastes, and Entreat the Angles spawn soldiers, cats, goblins, warriors, and angels for me to use as a massive army. Anointed Procession doubles the amount of all tokens produced even further! Hero of Bladehold produces her own army of heroes following her. This army is obviously pious, as True Conviction proves. On the battlefield Tajic leads with Odric the Master Tactician at his side, and Agrus Kos. The angels and skynights lead from the air. Serra's Blessing provides vigilance. The gods themselves favor this army! Therosian God Heliod has lent his support in the form of his spear, his dictate, and his presence on the battlefield. Iroas, God of Victory inspires all to lead the crusade straight to victory! Amonkhet god Oketra believes in the righteousness of this army so much that the deity has joined the battle itself. All the creatures, from those of the Boros Legion, to the Kherna's from Amonkhet, Preeminent, and Precinct Captains, the Mirran Crusader now fighting for a new cause, and the rest all know the way to victory. Stand and fight together! Recently corrected this deck's lack of card draw with cards like Mentor of the Meek, Staff of Nin, and Skullclamp.
