My stab at a Kaalia of the Vast EDH deck.

Like most, I started with the Kaalia-centric "Heavenly Inferno" Commander deck and added my own personal touches. I started by cutting way down on the Demons and beefing up the Angels and Dragons. Among the new additions:

• Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Linvala, Keeper of Silence, Razia, Boros Archangel, and Deathless Angel provide nice all-around protection.

• Ancient Hellkite and Bogardan Hellkite dish out directed damage.

• Bloodgift Demon and Harvester of Souls provide critical card draw.

• Others like Angelic Overseer, Baneslayer Angel, Thundermaw Hellkite, and Two-Headed Dragon are just pure awesome.

One of the biggest weaknesses with a Kaalia deck, of course, is how fragile Kaalia herself is. The aforementioned Avacyn, Deathless Angel, Champion's Helm, General's Kabuto, and Lightning Greaves all provide ways to keep her safe, along with a few other less overt tricks. If you need one of those, or any other card, you can tutor them up with Beseech the Queen, Increasing Ambition, or Rune-Scarred Demon. Night Dealings gives you tutoring ability just for damaging an opponent, which this deck should be able to do A LOT once it gets going.

There's lots of spot removal to help thin out permanents you can't handle: Path to Exile, Terminate, Mortify, Wrecking Ball, Return to Dust, and the truly evil Fight to the Death (to be used when two opponents are dueling each other...mwaha!). There's also some ways to sweep the board of opponents' creatures while leaving your many flyers intact: Breath of Darigaaz, Earthquake, and Ryusei, the Falling Star. As a last resort, once you're able to protect Kaalia and a couple others (probably a common scenario would be some combination of Avacyn, Angelic Overseer, and/or Deathless Angel, with some of the equipment thrown in), a well-timed Divine Reckoning can REALLY ruin everyone's day but yours.

So nothing fancy here: just get Kaalia out, protect her, and start smashing your opponents' faces in. No politics here; no need to pretend to make allies. Even your fiercest enemies won't be able to stop you once Kaalia calls in forces from heaven and...someplace warmer. ;-)

This is my first EDH deck, so any and all help is appreciated. I don't want to roll this out and embarrass myself!
