Hey Stevoscurse, just take a look on the price of Sword of Fire and Ice over Sword of Body and Mind, it is more than 5 times! To mill a deck is not a big deal, u dont win doing it, u win by damage (unless u have a mill deck)

Jhereg2467 I cant run Lightning Greaves because I wouldnt be able to use my other equips (it is shroud :/).

I love knights and using the 2 Knight Exemplar, I usually put in 1 or 2 Day of Judgment to board clear my opponents while I keep all my creatures then usually finishes them off.

Hey toponal I see your point. It is a cool idea, but usually I can race their creatures with my big dudes or I kill them before do a board presence!

Maybe your done testing this but I had tons of success with Phyrexian Metamorph in a similar deck. Can easily become your deadliest card on the board. Cheat out a Knight Exemplar or copy a sword. Might require you to splash Glacial Fortress or something of the sort but you could always just take the life. My deck was never meant to play in competitive tournaments though. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/03-11-14-knight-equipment/

Hey crawfoe1! Phyrexian Metamorph is good but if they destroy the card u wanna copy u re obligate to copy something else, so he may or may not be good, and competitive decks usually dont have cards that may be good :PIm gonna see ur deck and give u some feedback!

Accorder Paladin? I run him in my white weenie human deck and the battle cry mechanic has proved to be quite useful.

DH_Cell says... #10

Hey MrBiggieD, Accorder Paladin is cute, but not enough to change the course of the match. He is much better in a weenie deck because u have a bunch of dudes, usually I have 1-3 guys on the field at a time.

DH_Cell Hi there I'm a moderate player and there is this grand prix in copenhagen (I live in Denmark) for modern format, would you say this would be a good stability against the decks I could meet there? this deck have caught my interest because it feels like it could hold its ground against different decks types, but it could ending up by using 250 Euros on this deck so, would it be worth it?

May 18, 2015 3:51 p.m.

DH_Cell says... #12

Hey elementira, for sure! This deck is really strong and consistent. Fish is a good aggro deck, but if you remove a few cards (like vial and 1-2 lords) they are weak, and the knights without the equips buffs are strong. You can beat most of the decks out there, I only think we are not that good against Twin and Scapeshift, but well, most decks are not good against them. Nevermore, Spellskite and Torpor Orb can help you to deal against twin :)

DH_Cell hey again i was thinking about 2x Rule of Law in the sideboard if I met combo deck it will slow me 2 but, as long as my cards have protection and mostly first strike, they can hold up against other creatures, and I don't have much money so i said no to Cavern of Souls

DH_Cell hi again, i Only have 147 Euro to spend on this deckI have gathered - 4 path to exile - 1 sword of fire and ice - 1 sword of light and shadow - 2 steelshapers gift - 3 bonesplitter - 1 knight of meadowgrain ============================ So what would you say is the most important to have, its just that the Cavern of Souls cost 30 Euro and thats alot for me.this is the site wich somewhat shows what peoples favorite deck is at modern format I have looked at it, and without Cavern of Souls i am bait for agro counter decks ========================================== I have 147 Euro to spend what would you do?I order from this place If you know any other place that could be cheaper I would happy to know, and i live in EU ====================

DH_Cell says... #15

Well u need all the knights, otherwise it is not a tribal deck :pU can live without the cavern for a while, the problem is around the control decks, and the actual meta only has twin. The set of path is essential. The swords are excelents, but u can use cheap equips as a replace.

Hey Guillepe. 4x Cavern of Souls is the best against control decks, not only 2of. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is great, but usually I dont have a lot of knights on board, so it wouldnt worth the spot. Flagstones of Trokair is great too, I just dont have them haha

have you considered Sanctimony in the sideboard instead of Kor Firewalker?

June 29, 2015 12:10 a.m.

DH_Cell says... #19

Hey greasysweet. To be honest, it is the first time I see this card. It may be more effective against burn if they have Path to Exile instead of Destructive Revelry, what isnt that common. So, by now, I will keep the Kor :)

@DH_Cell good point, I just wanted to make sure you were aware of that hidden gem of a sideboard card =)

+1, even if the deck was not playable, because I love how you made a warrior - theme - deck that is a ton of fun to play.

Sorry if my suggestions are repeats but there were just too many comments to got through

First, props for the knight tribal. I have a vintage knight deck that is pretty solid, Knights of Deth, if you want to take a peek.

I did see you turn down the Kinsbaile Cavalier suggestion and I think you may want to reconsider it, he is a wincon as soon as he hits the board and a nice way to top out your curve. You could -2 Fiendslayer Paladin and +2 Kinsbaile Cavalier to have a much greater effect on your board and, depending how it already looks, usually swing for the win when he comes in.. assuming he is not removed.. but that's where Knight Exemplar really shines.I would also agree with whomever suggested Brave the Sands, it's such an overlooked card. I know you don't want to mess with your equipment theme but it is worth taking a good look at it in this deck as the vigilance coupled with the extra block goes great with the first/double strike and Indestructibility. Also, Divine Reckoning plays very well with Knight Exemplar.

Either way, nice deck and +1 for the tribal :)

Hey Panda213, thx for the feedback!

Well I took a fast look on ur deck but I really dont have knowledge to comment because it is not modern haha :(

Kinsbaile Cavalier is sweet, but u have to think about 2 points. First, it is not only a knight tribal build around the knights, Im running Puresteel Paladin and a lot of equips. Otherwise, I would run at least 30 dudes. So the Kinsbaile Cavalier would not change the board that much, usually I have 1-2 knights at time (modern has too much removal) and 4cmc is too slow for this deck.

Fiendslayer Paladin helps too much on the first match against zoo and burn, that is a really thing on modern. So different meta, different dudes.

Brave the Sands is sweet, but wouldnt own me any game. The equipments are better and have the sinergy with the paladin, so thats the why. And again, I dont have 30 dudes, I have only 22, so in a normal build it could worth much more the spot. I dont have any problem with aggro decks, so vigilance and extra block wouldnt change much.

If I had 30 dudes on my deck Divine Reckoning could be something. But usually I have 1-2, I dont have any problems with aggro/creature based deck, so no worries for that. My actual problem is Combo decks, where I try to solve running 1of Worship and using my sideboard.

My whole deck is basically knights and equipments, because if u have the paladin, u have a really stong draw engine and the equip 0 is absurd :)

At 22, creatures make up over a third of the deck and is the most abundant card type you are running and so the argument that something is not worth running due to your lack of creatures doesn't make much sense especially when your sub theme is based entirely upon the amount of creatures you have. I get that it can be hit by removal but thats where the exemplar and your protection come in. I get that it's 4 cmc but with the amount of 2 and 3 cmc guys you have you're bound to be just holding some in your hand at some point and so, if you see turns 4, 5 or 6, the cavalier has a much greater impact than anything you currently have in the deck. A little protection (which you have plenty of) and double strike for all of your creatures can and will win you games.

I agree with you about Brave the Sands in this deck, after a little play testing I just don't really see you needing it all that much.. especially if you can get worship out and have the right protection available.

Divine Reckoning and board wipes in general are not for everyone and honestly if it wasn't for the possibility of getting it off with the exemplar out then I wouldn't be running it either. But when it does, and that board wipe is one sided, it is a great thing. But, again, with all of the protection you have in here it's not necessary.
