Sagu Mauler could be replaced by Undergrowth Champion. Possibly Loaming Shaman for the Avenger, but if he is an important means of recursion, then keep him in. You could probably cut Pongify or Rapid Hybridization for Imprisoned in the Moon, as Beast Within is already in and outclasses the two.

@Triton - Again, thanks for your suggestions!
I can tell you put some thought into these. Sagu Mauler has evasion in hexproof. While Undergrowth Champion doesn't have hexproof, it does have evasion in its own right. I like that replacement. The only reason I had sagu mauler in here was for the morph. He would enter and trigger Ezuri, then get big and scary. Regardless, I like Champion better.
As for the others... Loaming Shaman is, like you suggested, an important source of recursion. After a wipe, he is critical to getting me back on my feet. He won't be the cut for Avenger of Zendikar, but we'll keep looking for what will be. Pongify and Rapid Hybridization are, indeed, outclassed by Beast Within. However, they are much cheaper. It also wouldn't hurt to have multiple chances at removal. I certainly wouldn't take out either of those for an enchantment, which could be destroyed at any time. That said, I definitely see you logic in suggesting those two.

Just a quick question. What did you cut Cephalid Constable for? just curious because its not on your recent changes list and its not in the decklist.

@SuspectedSinner - ummm... good question xD
I believe it was Rashmi, Eternities Crafter. I guess i forgot to document that, and I made the change at like 3 am so woops! Thanks for the catch! :)

Anytime. Like I said I love the deck list and I like keeping tabs on it for when I get into the competitive world with it because this decklist is 100% full of awesomeness.

Great deck. I'm in the process of building something very similar and I am pretty heavily borrowing from your list. One question though: did you ever think about changing Phyrexian Swarmlord for Mycoloth? While not creating infect tokens, it seems less situational and more consistent. Also costs one less mana.

Phantom Nantuko over Undergrowth Champion?
Hooded Hydra and Hangarback Walker do the same as Chasm Skulker
Wonder to give your infecting democrats flying?
Kalonian Hydra for doubling counters
Cultivator of Blades and Wild Beastmaster to buff said infecting troops
Khalni Garden for the Ezuri Trigger
Tezzeret's Gambit Draw and proliferate?

@xmistfitxzviprx - Avatar of the Resolute is decent. However, he is only as good as the number of creatures i have with counters on them. Usually, that number is relatively low. I tend to focus on specific creatures rather than giving everyone counters. Wild Beastmaster would be good, though... gotta think of what to cut.
@JulesVernes - Borrow to your heart's content! I'm glad you enjoy the build. After having some time away from it, myself, I have noticed a few things that could be improved. Your suggestion to replace Phyrexian Swarmlord with Mycoloth is a sound one. While infecters are good, Swarmlord's token production is wholly dependent on me hitting the opponent with a poison counter. Mycoloth will produce tokens regardless. Good call!
@HaunterHunter - Nice list of suggestions! Lets go through them.- Phantom Nantuko is almost strictly better than Undergrowth Champion. It's also a card i'd not seen before. You've convinced me on this one.
I like Hooded Hydra a little better than Hangarback Walker for this build, as it could enter as an Ezuri trigger if it's morphed, and then get big. Both are good suggetsions, and I'll have to weigh them against the deck.
Fuel for the Cause is 4 mana, not worth imo.
Wonder is decent, but it has to be in the graveyard, and it doesnt play with counters.
Kalonian Hydra... welp, time to make more cuts.
I mentioned to a different user that Wild Beastmaster is a good pick, and Cultivator of Blades is very similar. I doubt i'll be able to get both in, and for that reason, Beastmaster wins with a lower mana cost.
Khalni Garden is decent, i'll swap out a forest.
Tezzeret's Gambit used to be in here. It's good, but i have better ways to both proliferate and draw. That said, if i found an opening for it, it might find its way in.

Some other good cards to consider:
Zendikar Resurgent Double mana + draw power from creatures win-win
Forgotten Ancient is a non-trample managorger that can give Ezuri counters since he cant give counters to himself.
Plaxcaster Frogling Although it doesn't trigger Ezuri it can graft and give shroud to your creatures for only 2
Tuskguard Captain is a Primal Rage that triggers Ezuri
Spawnwrithe is a trample-ing ezrui trigger that replicates itself. first you get two, then you have four, eight and so on. If its not hated out it can very easily continue to double itself. And each time it doubles, it triggers Ezuri.
Bane of Progress is a artifact/enchantment board wipe. It is a 2/2 but im not sure if it comes in with the +1 counters from the destroyed artifacts and enchants.
Krosan Grip is a must have removal, it's honestly better than nature's claim due to its split second. although it does cost 2 more mana
Verdant Confluence is a jack of all trades that does it quite well. Want ramp? here's three lands. Want counters? here's six counters. want your graveyard back? Heres three cards. Plus you can combo it with Skullwinder and Eternal Witness.
Try to avoid basically all 3 and higher toughness creatures unless they can add more counters to ezuri. Loaming Shaman is honestly not good enough to be put in.
There's also a new card in aether revolt that does what Triskelion does but its cheaper and better. You might want to wait for it to cycle out of standard before buying it because its at or around 15 dollars right now. Walking Ballista. Plus it can trigger Ezuri, unlike Triskelion
Mwonvuli Beast Tracker is a worldly tutor that triggers ezuri. You will most likely use it for Kalonian Hydra, but there are many other trample creatures you could add(some of which I mentioned above). You could also put in Hornet Queen which can also be searched for. Managorger Hydra, Invisible Stalker and Acidic Slime are all good options. Plus they all do what is the most important, Trigger Ezuri.

@HaunterHunter - Let's talk.
The double mana granted from Zendikar Resurgent would be great... if I had the double mana to cast itself. At a whopping seven mana, I really don't need my lands to tap for double. There are also better sources of card draw. It's win-more, so that's a no.
Forgotten Ancient is actually just a sponge for hate... It came with the pre-constructed deck, but I took it out because it would instantly be targeted, never reaching its potential.
the problem with Plaxcaster Frogling is that it gives shroud. That means that, if one of my creatures is targeted in my first main phase and I use pay the 2 to grant shroud, that creature can not be targeted by Ezuri this turn. It's a weakness that could be exploited by my opponents, and I can't have that. It's the same reason I won't include Kira, Great Glass-Spinner.
Tuskguard Captain is better for my build than Primal Rage. You've sold me, and i'll make the change.
Spawnwrithe, I feel, would be similar to Forgotten Ancient in that it would be a target for hate. That said, that ability is too good to ignore. I'll think about this one.
Bane of Progress hits the board as a 2/2, so it would trigger Ezuri. However, I cannot run this. There are too many artifacts that I use and would rather not have destroyed. Also, it doesn't do anything with the counters. The trained eye will see that most of my creatures don't just have counters. They do something with them.
I think you may have misused the term "better". In Magic, saying something is better (implying that it is strictly better) means that it is in every way superior. That cannot be said with Krosan Grip and Nature's Claim. Split second is a nice ability to have, but you know what else is nice? Leaving one mana open as I pass the turn, then surprising my opponent with removal on his turn. Krosan grip came with the pre-con, and I replaced it for a reason.
Verdant Confluence is good, but 6 mana is demanding.
Loaming Shaman is amazing, actually. It has won many games for me. Does it trigger Ezuri? no, and I wish it did. But getting my entire graveyard back is nothing to sneeze at. Contrary to your comment, he is honestly great, and that's why he's in.
I wouldn't say that Walking Ballista is better than Triskelion. Lets say you pay 6 for ballista; the same cost as triskelion. It would come in with the same number of counters, but with 1 less power and 1 less toughness. Also, I can remove all counters from triskelion and have it survive; the same cannot be said for ballista. It does have the ability to scale, which is handy. It's a good card, to be sure, and maybe even one I would include. But, again, I disagree with your assessment of "better".
Don't fool yourself: Mwonvuli Beast Tracker (I can't even tell you how many times I spelled that incorrectly) is not Worldly Tutor. It's on a stick, so i'll excuse the higher mana cost. However, it cannot search for creatures such as Sage of Hours, Fathom Mage, Triskelion, Wild Beastmaster, Champion of Lambholt... the list continues. Never underestimate versatility and flexibility in Commander, my good man.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Love the deck! it's wonderfully eeeeeeevil work of madness. That said, I have three suggestions;
-Bow of Nylea for counters, combat tricks, and probably the most important role: refilling your library for those long drawn out games with weary opponents.
-Soul Foundry combos with most of your creatures and is flexible enough in this list to allow for all kinds of plays from control to aggro to big stompy at a drop of the hat. notable targets are; Glen Elendra Archmage, Reclamation Sage, Kalonian Hydra, Avenger of Zendikar, freakin Eternal Witness!
NOTE: you can generate the token at instant speed for extra versatility!
Master Biomancer because who doesn't want more counters, right? besides, you have all the other great counters suppost cards here, why not one more? #winmore
that said; if, say, I wanted to remove the infect mechanic from the deck what would you replace those cards with to maintain synergy and speed?

feyn_do_alduin says... #17
also, if you're playing against a competitive opponent, when you play soul foundry you don't have to declare who you're imprinting on it until it enters play. that way you wont lose an extra card based on a technicality.

@xmistfitxzviprx - Birds of Paradise is a great card, to be sure. It just doesn't play with counters. Not sure it'll find a spot in here.
@feyn_do_alduin - Thank you for the kind words!
Bow of Nylea is very versatile, which is great in edh. It's a good card! I was thinking I would never use the counters, but then I thought about using them on Ezuri himself, and I was sold. I'll try to fit it in!
I had not seen Soul Foundry before. The only downside with this is that, should the artifact be destroyed (a common occurrence in edh, as I'm sure you know), then I would lose the creature. But , that said, it's still a good card, and U'll see if I can squeeze it in the build.
Master Biomancer is one I hear often. The only issue with this is that it gives counters to creatures before they hit the board; meaning, they won't trigger Ezuri. Now obviously I have creatures that are already too big, but I want as many experience counters as I can get, since that's how the deck grows. Thus, although it is a great card, Biomancer will most likely not see play in my build. Were this an Atraxa, Praetors' Voice build, however...
You asked about what to put in if the infect cards were cut. I've actually been considering removing that aspect, myself. My playgroup has been engaged in a rather cancerous arms race as of late, with the likes of Sen Triplets, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, and Sliver Overlord. So I'm trying to clean up our group. Were I to cut infect, I would go full-blown token generation. I would introduce such cards as Hangarback Walker, Awakening Zone, Hornet Queen, as well as Parallel Lives and Primal Vigor on top of the already included Doubling Season. What do you think about that? Let me know :)

feyn_do_alduin says... #19
ah, now I understand why you don't have Master Biomancer in here!
Hangarback Walker can be mana intensive, however you'll not have that issue since you're playing with ezuri in mind.
Primal Vigor is fine, a little expensive though.
Same could be said for Hornet Queen
Parallel Lives is tonnes of fun, though i don't know how extensive your token game is rn.
all that said, I'm gonna yoink the current list for... research purposes lol.

one thing I JUST noticed, sorry for the spammy comments, but I don't think Triskelion triggers ezuri. it enter WITH counters on it, which is a problem for the synergy, i think

@feyn_do_alduin - Personally, I would not get rid of Triskelion. Throw some counters on it, and you've got either targeted removal or instant damage. This guy is devastating, my dude!

You can win turn 3 with Deranged Hermit. It is set to come in the turn after Ezurnie, and give you 5 experience counters. That alone is amazing. But, you can then tap those 5 creatures to cast Chord of Calling, fetching Sage of Hours, and with enough experience to go infinite right there.
PurePazaak says... #1
@ Triton - I like Imprisoned in the Moon. Like you said, it's essentially another Song of the Dryads. For the hydras: I have thought about those before. In my mind, Ezuri puts counters on creatures in order for them to do things. The hydras come in big, don't trigger Ezuri, and then don't benefit from Ezuri (at least, not as much as other creatures may). Avenger of Zendikar is one I've considered in the past. Definitely not opposed to it, just have't found a place yet. Undergrowth Champion, however, I have not seen before. That could fit very well.
What are your suggestions for cuts in order to fit in Imprisoned in the Moon, Avenger of Zendikar, and Undergrowth Champion? I'd be happy to hear your ideas!
