Liliana of the Dark Realms is great with getting the mana that you need and it can kill creatures in your way if you need to. I don't know if it is two expensive for you though. It is about 5$ I'd recommend 2 of her.

Cabal Ritual Bubbling Muck . both are really good when ramping. I don't see the point of Nyxathid or Dread . nyx is meant for discard decks while dread is a six drop, which would be better off as No Mercy or Mutilate .

@miracleHat Well, this deck has the potential to turn 1 Dread. Culling the Weak > Sac Memnite + Dark Ritual = Turn 1 Dread

Also, Nyxathid is in the deck because with all the low costs in the deck, it's pretty easy to choose myself and have him lost the -1's

Thats not a turn 1 Dread because you need 2 swamps to cast Culling the Weak and Dark Ritual , plus the likelyhood of having all that early is very small.

And Nyxathid can't target you. It specifically says "choose an opponent"

"as Nyxathid comes into play, choose an opponent"

turn 1 Dread = turn 1 dead for Dread . Also, you can get No Mercy much more reliably turn 1 then Dread , though neither are great in legacy. either way, i think that it is a good choice if this is budget. I was about to suggest Griselbrand , but then remembered budget.

Ah, well, ignore the Nyx part then, he's going out, But no, Culling the Weak gives 4, so you play Dark Ritual for one of the floating mana 4 - 1 + 3 = 6.

I would add ''Grislband'' in a heart beat, if he wasn't 30, bucks, lol. I have 1, but he's in a completely different deck.

I didn't quite notice that with Culling the Weak and Dark Ritual . Either way, I just did the math. The likelihood of you pulling those three in your opening hand is less than .5%. I play tested it as well, taking second turn draw and I never had all three in the twenty tries I did. Not to say that you have no chance of getting him early, but when you think that you are dependent on three cards (including him) to get him out before turn 3, its extremely unlike. It's more likely to get him out turn 4 or 5, but by then you are probably focusing on Liliana of the Dark Realms and Crypt Ghast to get your Army of the Damned out. Don't get me wrong I like him a lot, and letting your opponent kill their own creeps by attacking you is sweet, but he just isn't as a dependable play as I think, you think he is.

Sure enough turn 3 there was 13 2/2 zombies. Unfortunately I was testing it against my dragon artifact and destroyed them all with whipflare. You might try a Creakwood Liege . Its about $10. You could probably get it for less if you look around. Good Luck!

I think you should consider dropping the 4-drops. Getting them out fast means you wasted ramp that should have been used to get out Army of the Damned . Crypt Ghast might be better served as more Bubbling Muck . Erebos, God of the Dead and Liliana of the Dark Realms are much too slow for Legacy card advantage. You could run Street Wraith and/or Gitaxian Probe and draw without having to pay any mana. You could drop Crypt Ghast, Erebos, Lily and 2 Swamps for 4 Gitaxian, 4 Wraiths and 2 more Bubbling Muck .

You might even be able to go down to 20 swamps and slide in 2 of anything else with all that free card draw. Maybe Memnite s?

Blood Artist is a good idea. Carrion Feeder and Bloodthrone Vampire are other mass creature outlets.

Rain of Filth is also fun, but only if you like going all in. Ill-Gotten Gains might shoot you in the foot, but it also deserves consideration. It was reprinted in Conspiracy, so they will be around and cheap.

It's expensive, but Cabal Therapy is great for disruption. Even more so with excess 0 drops. Speaking of disruption, you might need some. Gitaxian Probe will let you see their hand to check if it's safe, but Inquisition of Kozilek and Thoughtseize will make it safe.
