Gattison I am surprised I was called back here after commenting a year ago. Anyways, Goblin Arsonist is fine and has that little neat combo but I preferred Mogg Fanatic because in a goblin aggro deck you rarely ever block and are usually swinging with everything. Plus, Mogg gets rid of things like mana dorks (Noble Hierarch), Dark Confidant, infect creatures, affinity creatures, and various other one toughness cards when you want to and does not need to be killed. But in the deck I have on tappedout I run neither as I don't find them necessary at all. :3

What Blizzicane says is right. I use Mogg Fanatic to assist in poping annoying 1 toughness creatures (Delver of Secrets  Flip, Young Pyromancer, Elvish Mystic ect). Most people don't run it, but i come to like my goblin Gut Shot. Thanks for suggesting though. :)

Instantly replentish your supply of goblins with this little miracle Reforge the Soul i run a couple copies in my goblin aggro and although it does restock my opponents hand it usually gives me a lot more firepower that i will likely be able to completely play out in one or two turns.

Might try it. Not sure what I will replace, maybe Krenko's Command?

Hordeling Outburst is a little slow in modern. :(

This looks fine. Shared Animosity is a little weak. You only have 18 lands and it depends on existing board presence.

+1!

Shared Animosity is a game winner. It will increase the attack of all goblins sometimes by +5/+0, and it goes nicely with Legion Loyalist. Don't get me wrong, I am aware it's a win moar card, and it's usually sided out in games 2 & 3, but for now I'll keep it in (may get booted for some Goblin Piledriver though. ;) ).

As for the lands, I find that any more lands, and the deck gets mana flooded. It doesn't need more than 3 lands anyway.

So Blood Moon is great but either Night of Souls' Betrayal or Illness in the Ranks puts a serious hurt on this deck.

Have you considered Ancient Grudge as well as some Stomping Ground + Wooded Foothills ?

One other thing, I would be QUITE surprised if my opponent plays this deck and game one I win due to blockers and Supreme Verdict and game two all I side in is Illness in the Ranks and you side in Molten Vortex.

kengiczar are you saying I should replace Blood Moon? That's just crazy! Moon wins so so so many games! It is the best sideboard card for mono-red, and could even be playable in the mainboard if the meta was a little different. I mean, look at your land base for Draw Go Tatsumasa. Of the 24 lands you have, 18 will be affected by moon, and if moon gets through it will be difficult for you to stop me.

And although Night of Souls' Betrayal does hurt (Illness in the Ranks not so much, as Krenko's Command is usually sided out), I'm still more scared of Damnation, Drown in Sorrow and other wipers. There really isn't much I can do about that though, just have to push hard enough to burn the opponent to death (It's the deck's biggest weakness).

Having said all that, the lands you suggested might be good for deck thinning, and if I do that, Ancient Grudge or Naturalize could come in if favour of something like Shattering Spree or Dragon's Claw.

(BTW: Draw Go Tatsumasa is a nice deck, just needs more Batterskull. ;P )

The deck is good and the name is better. I like it!

Tormod's Crypt is a 0 mana cost spell that does trigger Reckless Bushwhacker's surge. Other than that looks good. I love the Blood Moon/Goblin King in the sideboard. Don't get talked out of that. Total flavor.

Tormod's Crypt is in. And yeah, "blood king" isn't going anywere anytime soon. :)

Very cool deck! I dig this.

I found a bunch of cards that might interest you:

Frenzied Goblin has obvious uses, and is a great counter to slower decks, Goblin Heelcutter stops blockers, but also can trigger/retrigger Foundry Street Denizen and Reckless Bushwhacker, Goblin Rabblemaster is good for increasing the size and speed of your army, Goblin Wardriver for damage, Pyrewild Shaman or Skinbrand Goblin to boost existing goblins or play regularly, Tuktuk the Explorer alongside Goblin Grenade for a nice 4 mana combo, Warren Instigator for speed, Zada, Hedron Grinder + Goblin Grenade= death storm, and Coat of Arms, which is slow for this deck, but can give each goblin a major boost.

Sorry that the list is a little long, but I hope it helps! <3

Frenzied Goblin and Goblin Heelcutterlooks interesting, might test it.

Tuktuk the Explorer, Warren Instigator, Coat of Arms are all simply to slow. Goblin Wardriver is in the same boat, I had it in for a while, but replaced it.

Pyrewild Shaman, Skinbrand Goblin aren't good in this deck, though they do combo well with Zada, Hedron Grinder, but that would be a different deck to this one (fyi: Zada, Hedron Grinder + Goblin Grenade doesn't work. Sacrifice doesn't target, nor would it copy grenade).

And I am not a fan of Goblin Rabblemaster, as he always forces me to attack, evem when it's not advisable.

you could get some Reverberate to get the most of your granades.... Brimstone Volley could help you as well.

Felixlives says... #21

reverberate is a bad card choice for this deck with a woppin 8 cards it could possibly copy. usually a goblin grenade is the nail in the coffin in a deck like this as is. as I find in my 8whack deck usually they are close enough to dead by the time that I use a grenade that I either win there or following turn.

Xinofos says... #22

Felixlives is right. I did have it when the deck was more casual, but not anymore. And Brimstone Volley has too high of a mana cost. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

Do you maybe want another Piledriver for a Mogg Fanatic? 2 seems a little low. Maybe an extra in the SB?

December 26, 2016 10:42 a.m.

Xinofos says... #24

Yeah, I want a third driver. So:

-1 Chieftain (never needed 4)

-1 Fanatic

+1 Piledriver

+1 Frenzy goblin (Not sure on the ratio, so testing at 1 atm)
