Jace's Erasure is a card that you could use to mill yourself

SaschaCory, some nonstandard cards to include in this deck would be Vapor Snag, Mana Leak, Delver of Secrets Flip and maybe Curiosity. You could also put in Invisible Stalker alongside Hands of Binding and Ordeal of Thassa.

I don't want to mess up the deck's mechanics but I feel like the addition of some of these cards would be amazing. If it's not too much trouble, how many of each of these cards should I put in and what should I get rid of to make room for them?

Well first off, none of those are going in my deck because it's standard. However, for a deck for yourself, I would recommend four each of Delver of Secrets Flip, Vapor Snag and Invisible Stalker. No more then three Mana Leak, as they become useless as the game lengthens. Maybe three Curiosity and a couple Ordeal of Thassa to slap on Stalker. as for Laboratory Maniac and the "your have no hand size" cards....I don't honestly know. I've never used Maniac, but I think you reeeeally have to build the deck around him to get any use, and I would use no more then 3 Reliquary Tower. Forget about Spellbook, it's not worth the card slot that could be more disruption or card draw to keep other cards in your hand. Hands of Bindingis only really useful on Stalker, so see how the deck goes. If you find Stalker really pulling his weight, you could add a few to further annoy your opponents for sure.

Hey man really love the deck, but what would you recommend as a replacement for triton shorestalker? Cant seem to get him anywhere.

Whelming Wave messes with your creatures, a better side option would be AEtherspouts

+1 love the deck, want to add Thassa, God of the Sea which card would you replace for it, and how many you recommend for this deck?

Splayed this in a tournement yesterday and beat two abzan whip decks with it and a naya monsters but put thasa in because I can it turned out really amazing brilliant deck
February 2, 2015 6:31 a.m.
@luluapril Could you think of a nice replacement for triton ?
February 2, 2015 4:11 p.m.
All I could think of was frostwalker and maybe add some aqueous foams. Thoughts?

Frost Walker is DEFINATELY an option; Aqueous Form is definately not. All my creatures already have evasion, and targeting Walker with Aqueous Form would simply kill the Walker :P

LOL so it would, sorry didn't read the text properly :/. Yea I'll probably go with Frost Walker seeming I can't get my hands on any Triton Shorestalker

I have tried using Thassa, God of the Sea in this deck but it hard to reach a devotion of 5.
Here is my deck for the curious : Mono blue

wouldn't returning their auras be a bad thing?
February 4, 2015 7:24 p.m.
If you side in Negate you could just counter the aura when they try to play it again I guess

I'm surprised nobody mentions Marang River Prowler
Loses some utility in mono blue, but for 1 extra mana, unblockable > flying, no?
February 5, 2015 2:32 a.m.
What about Armory of Iroas? You can just keep making your unblockables bigger and bigger

I went 1-4 at FNM with this deck, I don't know if I sideboarded wrong, just had bad draws, or if my LGS is too competitive of an environment for this deck to work in, but it definitely didn't get there.
I really enjoy the concept of the deck though, and I feel like some tweaks would make it playable. Like maybe dropping a few bounce cards for some more mainboard counterspells and adding in some bigger threats could make it work a bit better.

Sorry to hear that, SFMufasa :( What kinds of decks did you lose against specifically?

Lost to Mardu Midrange, Blue-Black Control, Blue-Red Artifacts, Jeskai Tokens, and finally beat a variation of a Sultai Whip deck. All the games were quite close, but again just couldn't quite get in enough damage before I was dead.
Playing against Blue-Black Control was the most annoying; a whole lot of draw-go and counterspell wars until he eventually beat me up with Silumgar, Pearl Lake Ancient or Ugin.

Hey guys, I need some help here. Let's say I don't care if this deck is Standard... What should I add/replace? I think Laboratory Maniac would be pretty powerful, due to Bident of Thassa and/or Military Intelligence. What do you think?
