Tremaininator Since most of my current meta is made up of aggressive builds that are creature heavy, I really can't afford to play Geist, as although he is an amazing card, I don't think it'll make my maindeck, and the sideboard I already have for this deck is pretty spread out for the decks that I'm already dealing with. Unless of course you have a suggestion for the sideboard for it considering what my meta is in the description.

1 Vedalken Shackles is great in UW control. U might need to adjust the mana base a bit to get the most value out of it. Do you like Condemn over Vapor Snag? Personally I think Vapor Snag has more utility. Curious about Serum Visions over Ancestral Vision as well. Overall it looks pretty good, +1

KaiserChronic I don't think I can support shackles, as my mana base can't really change enough to be as diverse as it is currently. I play Condemn because it is an actual answer, unlike vapor snag which only bounces a creature, Condemn is played due to the amount of aggro in the meta. I play Serum over Ancestral because Serum can be a turn 1 play or a turn 10 play, but either way it still activates when I want to, and sets up my draws.

you could just drop the Glacial Fortresses go up 2 basic islands and add 2 Prairie Streams. Shackles is just very good

uh, tiers are decided by usage not power, so the only way you could make this tier one is if you got a ton of people to play it

Thanks bah-bammmm I always appreciate pointless feedback!

This deck looks a little weak against Ad Nauseam

November 30, 2016 10:11 a.m.

Sargeras says... #10

Cableguy, I have Dispel, Negate, Stony Silence, Rule of Law, Batterskull, and Surgical Extraction in the sideboard. I also have counters like Cryptic Command in the mainboard, do you really think that this deck is that weak against Ad Nauseam? If so, what is your suggestion to fight it back.

Kjartan says... #11

Do you feel like Surgical Extraction is enough to deal with Dredge?

I think Rest in Peace is a card to at least consider.

well, instead of saying "pointless feedback" you could instead be happy that i pointed out something dumb you said

bah-bammmm thanks so much, your feedback is very beneficial!

Sargeras says... #14

Kjartan Since nobody in my current meta plays Dredge, that's why Rest in Peace isn't played, but if I do choose to play somewhere else,I have two copies to side in over the E.E. and a Rule of Law.

bah-bammmm - So, you are basicly just lying to someone and getting salty when they don't appreciate it?

Tier is based based on power, (considering meta), if done correctly.

bah-bammmm says... #17

Uh no, you're wrong.Tiers are not based on power, tiers are based on USAGE. What makes a deck tier 1 is whether or not it's played the most. It's part of the metagame defines it's tier. The 5 most played decks are defined as tier 1. If anything, Kjartan, you should leave because you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

bah-bammmm - Oh really?

In gaming, a tier list is a list that ranks all characters based on the strength of their fighting abilities and their potential to win matches under tournament conditions, assuming equal skill on the part of each player.

http://www.ssbwiki.com/Tier_list

A tier list is a list of playable characters of a video game ranked by their respective viability in competitive settings. Characters listed high on a tier list of a specific game are considered to be powerful characters compared to lower-scoring characters, and are therefore more likely to be used during tournaments.

People do use often use popularity to determain teirs in MTG (http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/modern/547563-what-does-tier-1-2-3-mean), but they are by the definition of tier, doing it wrong.

Kjartan says... #19

bah-bammmmNah, I apologize, I thought your comment was so rude and salty that I became so myself.

In magic, Tier is technically used incorrectly, but since everybody is using it that way, I guess you could say the term of conditions of what is and isn't tier has changed to mean something else that it was originally supposed to.

So tier in magic has come to defer from tier in other games.

Kind of silly, but I guess I'll have to admit that that's what've come of it.

I mean...perhaps I am just an above average Adnos player but I have lost a total of 7 matches out of 40 games (I get a lot of time at work to test). Granted I said "match" aka 2/3's. Your game 1 math up is the worst odds where you win 20% of the time on the draw and 35% on the play. Game 2 your odds increase because of SB and it becomes closer to a 50/50 match up. Perhaps in your SB you should stay away from 2 of's and get a full playset of Stony Silence and drop the rule of law? When going for a win on turn 3 or 4 the rule of law just seems too slow where as the stony silence cuts off a quick win with the artifacts and you have the ability on turn 4 to play stony silence and leave up counter magic for their SB cards against enchantements.
