Alright, if anybody still remembers this, we back. Dominaria is looking awesome for more than one reason, and I'm super hyped for everything about it, but as far as this goes, it's adding 3(!) new potential playables. They're Goblin Warchief, Goblin Chainwhirler, and Damping Sphere. I'll skip over the sphere for the most part, it hoses storm, hoses tron, and leads to a good time for the good guys. Goblin Chainwhirler, while it looks pretty underpowered for modern, I think is a sleeper card. It absolutely destroys things with one-toughness, namely Lingering Souls, Young Pyromancer, Snapcaster Mage, Dark Confidant, and I'm sure some other creatures I'm forgetting. The card is a quality threat to bring out of the board, and I'm looking forward to trying him out. Last, but not least, is Goblin Warchief. This one's really hard to evaluate. This deck is at it's absolute strongest with an active Goblin Chieftain, because haste is ridiculous. However, I'm not sure how many effects along these lines we really need. Essentially, to make sure our curve remains intact, the slots to play with are between Goblin Warchief and Blood Moon, and they both do completely different things, so in the end I think it comes down to a metagame call, and I'm not the one to ask about the metagame. Right now I'm sitting at a 2-2 split, but it could be anything from that to 4-0 one way or the other.
At this point this deck is 4 years old on this site, so I've replaced the old description because at this point is a shell of it's former self. You really don't need to read the updates, they're pretty obsolete at this point. If you remember this deck from back in the day, hello again, glad to see ya. If this is the first time you've seen it, welcome to my take on modern goblins, it's been in the works for years.
