Sweet Mad Auntie of all that is damage. This is awesome. +1

I'm stealing that Shared Animosity combo for a goblin deck I'm working on.

My only suggestion would be to swap out the Goblin King s for Goblin Bushwhacker s, to allow for the combo(s) to more consistently go off. Otherwise, this deck is baws as hell.

@yungxak Thanks man! The Goblin Bushwhacker replacement is probably a good idea, as it does make the deck much more consistent. Do you have any thoughts on the sideboard?

For sideboard blood moon x2 would be very good.. Also only run 18 Mountains 23 is A LOT for a mono coloured deck. Makes more room for more goblins

@Zenjatsu I was only running 20 but found I was getting mana screwed a lot... I dunno. I'll try 18. What do you think about running Blood Moon mainboard, seeing as it screws over so many decks. I'll try cutting the lands down to 19 and see how it rolls. Thanks for the suggestion.

Good use for one of the best swarm tribes in the game. +1

Also, the cost calculates the sideboard too, right?

August 2, 2013 10:13 p.m.

sheamagic says... #7

@Whacker_Slacker_2 The cost as in the TCG player price? If so, yes. Or as in the mana costs, which also do.

August 3, 2013 1:17 a.m.

Thank you. BTW, I was talking about price, not the CMC.

Your description is a bit off ...

1st of all if you play goblin Chieftain on turn 3 and swing you'll hit for 9, not 6. Also, instigator triggers twice, so you can put two goblins into play, making even more goblins.

@Dalthus Yeah, I'm assuming that I didn't draw the absolute god-hand. I'm also assuming that they have a blocker for goblin chieftain as he is a vital part of the combo. But hey, its still a lot of damage, no matter how you slice it. What are people's thoughts on the sideboard? I'm not sure what exactly to put in it.

Go go new legend rule. Warren instigator triggers once, drop krenko, tap in response to next trigger, drop a second krenko, have the tapped one die, tap the new krenko, swing.

@Ohthenoises lol. That is just abuse.

Ever thought of Mogg War Marshal ?

August 6, 2013 2:09 p.m.

sheamagic says... #14

@Ohthenoises Yeah. In the end I just kinda decided he was too slow. I could be talked into him though. What would you suggest taking out?

August 6, 2013 2:31 p.m.

Ohthenoises says... #15

I had to make the choice between him and Goblin Wardriver . Where Goblin Wardriver is great in token strategies like this he lacks the multiple bodies that Mogg War Marshal brings to the table (which Krenko, Mob Boss cares about very much and the pump won't be lost because you will get double the effect out of Shared Animosity )

I kinda look at him like the Thragtusk of goblins. If they kill him they're gonna have a bad time but he does something when he comes in. They can just Time Walk you with a Doom Blade if you play a Goblin Wardriver .

@Ohthenoises Well when you look at it that way I guess you're right. I do have enough anthem effects and I need the bodies more. Thanks.

only problem is you'll get mana flooded to often might I suggest Scalding Tarn or Arid Mesa to thin the deck?

August 6, 2013 5:55 p.m.

sheamagic says... #18

@blackmage9999 Yeah, I don't really have the budget for that. The one Scalding Tarn I was lucky enough to pull is in our cube. Its definitely a way to go if you were looking to improve the deck with a larger budget. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I really like the idea of the deck, though it's 256 damage on turn 4, not 257. I just wanted to tell you.

14 goblins attacking for 17 and 1 goblin attacking for 18 = 256

Ok let's math this.

Goblin Guide + Goblin Chieftain + Warren Instigator + 12 tokens is 15 goblins.

3+2+2x2+24 = 33 before Shared Animosity .

Each goblin gets +14/+0 (15 goblins) so.

17+16+16x2+16x12 = 257.

I think OP is right.

August 9, 2013 10:10 p.m.

2-3x Cavern of Souls and AEther Vial would be good adds, IMO. Legacy Goblins run 4x Caverns and 4x Vials, but you have 15 spells, hence the recommendation for 2-3x Caverns.

Good deck, though! Also, Guttural Response and/or Vexing Shusher for the sideboard. You'll have a hard time with Control decks (another reason why Cavern and Vial are good).

Ohthenoises says... #23

Also, checking my math by doing the problem a different way:

3+2+2x2+24 = 33 before Shared Animosity .

15 triggers of Shared Animosity as +14/+0 one goblin gets that twice so 16*14 = 224 + 33 = 257.

Smoldering Spires could be useful as a 1 or 2 of to help ensure the Warren Instigator gets in there when it needs to. Any more than that and it could get risky but it seems potentially helpful.
