How is this even possible with Krenko having summoning sickness?

The damage would be higher. Warren instigator allows you to put in 2 creatures because of double strike.

Turn 1 : Goblin Guide attack, for 2 Opponent at 18 5 cards in your handTurn 2 : Warren Instigator, goblin guid attacks for 2 opponent at 16 4 cards in handTurn 3 : Goblin Chieftan, attack for 9 because 4 from instigator, 2 from chieftan, 3 from goblin guide, put in krenko and activate off the first warren trigger, +4 goblin tokens, then put in the second krenko, sacking the first, activate to put in 8 more tokens. Opponent at 7 1 card in your handTurn 4 : Shared Animosity, activate krenko for 16 more tokens, now having 1 goblin guide, 1 warren instigator, 1 goblin chieftan, 1 Krenko, and 28 goblin tokens. On the first warren instigator trigger (before anything else deals damage) put in another chieftan, giving everything else +1/+1. SO MUCH MORE DAMAGE. I don't feel like figuring it out. Estimated accurately-ish at 1100 damage.

@DERPLINGSUPREME Why thank you kind sir.
@micah1 That is an impressive amount of damage. With the scenario you describe it would probably be better to play the Foundry Street Denizen on turn 1, seeing as he would be getting +28/+0 from the krenko tokens. I'm with you on the calculating it out part, it can wait for another day. Regarding the scenario in the description, there are plenty of other ways to deal inhumane amounts of damage, that's just the one that inspired the deck.

It would be lethal with him on turn three. Also, on turn four, it would only get +16/+0 since that would be how many entered the battlefield that turn.

@micah1- All very true, and thanks for catching me, I misread the 28 goblin token part. At this point on the deck, however, I'm trying for less of a gimmick-y deck and more for one that is modern viable.

How would you feel about fetch lands to draw the deck out? I am currently going to start working on this as a build but I am thinking of putting in [Wooded Foothills], [Bloodstained Mire] (I also run RDW in standard.). I think you could thin the deck out that much quicker and draw gas faster.

From my previous comment Wooded Foothills, Bloodstained Mire.

@Odorous_Walker- If you have the money/cards, totally go for it. There isn't really a downside to doing that. For me though the return on investment just isn't there for something that you could just replace with a basic mountain. I'm still on the fence about shelling out for the new additions, seeing as I don't live anywhere very close to a place with any regular modern tournies. There really is no point in not doing that if you want to though, I feel like it would improve the deck, just not a massive amount.

Hey, new to this website. I found this deck and gave it a shot. For some reason I always have too much mana and Aether Vials don't seem to help since I usually have no cards in my hand. And in 10 games I haven't been lucky enough to complete this combo, Am I just being unlucky?
March 19, 2015 4:58 a.m.
No, It's called you have to have the exact cards to have this combo, and also, you don't have cards in hand because you are casting them to attack your opponent. Aether vial is always your turn 1 play if you can do it. NO cards is not a problem, You dont have to tick Aether vial up.

@micah1 Good point. Sorry if I sounded like I was ungrateful or complaining by the way, I was genuinely curious. I started playing MTG when 8th Edition came out and I bought the Goblin starter deck. So I really wanted to find a badass goblin deck to cause mayhem among my buddies. I think this is the one. Thank you :)

your mana curve is low enough. i think that you dont need AEther Vials anymore. you also play 3 Shared Animosity and 4 Goblin Chieftain. did you try to play a Spikeshot Elder with these 7 cards??
July 12, 2015 4:37 a.m.
@MariosAmj We definitely don't have enough mana to activate Spikeshot Elder consistantly. Even with AEther Vial While the pumping of the power is attractive it just doesn't seem worth it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

what about Legion Loyalist i found him amazing in modern goblins
July 14, 2015 12:16 a.m.
Why do you have Blood Moon in mainboard without Goblin King, I feel like neither of those should be in a deck without the other.
July 19, 2015 3:50 p.m.
what would you say is a good sub for blood moon? so expensive....
July 19, 2015 8:36 p.m.
@ScRaPaZz Magus of the Moon is the only other good alternative but it's still 25$
July 19, 2015 8:59 p.m.
hmmm. i may find a different combo all together for now until i can afford a playset. i mean the blood moons are deff SB material. so its not super critical for me right now. i may sub out the main deck blood moon and one of the shared animosity for two reverberate. may come in handy for copying goblin grenades.

@Odorous_Walker- It feels so great to hear someone say that. It's amazing to know that a random deck I came up with has been being used by someone all this time.
@jchudz- Cavern of Souls totally slipped my mind. You're right when you say there is no drawback to when Blood Moon turns it into a mountain. I really don't think that Legion Loyalist has enough of an impact in the deck. I just like all the other 1-drops better because they do more damage faster. I don't think cutting the lands down to 18 will really work out, but I don't really know, as I haven't been able to playtest it at all in it's current form. It may very well be too many lands.
I forgot to mention other cards I'm considering as possible additions to the deck. Boggart Ram-Gang can come down turn 3 and start beating face in a hurry. Splashing black for stuff like Spike Jester and Mad Auntie is also a thought, but I think I would rather keep it a little more consistent, and I really don't want to pay the money for the lands. Thanks for the input guys, and keep it coming!
