My first shot at a turbo fog deck. It has a basic design, with Howling Mine like effects drawing cheap fog cards. I tried to make it as budget as possible, but there's only so much you can do to replace the really good cards.
Cryptic Command is a great card, but getting the 3 blue is hard, and the card is expensive. If you want to make the deck more costly, try adding a Jace or Tamiyo, the Moon Sage.
I could use help with the sideboard, since all of it is hate against decks I hate.
Kor Firewalker
kills burn, Mindbreak Trap can kill storm, Leyline of Sanctity takes out burn yet again, and Mindbreak Trap works on Storm. Bribery can steal an Emrakul, the Aeons Torn from tron.
Looking at winning modern decks, barely any of them have artifact removal in their mainboard. Isochron scepter would start in your mainboard, and you can sideboard it out in game 2 to avoid that 2:1 card advantage.
The only thing I can't beat with this deck is. Aggro. (Eidilon of Great Revel, Lightning Bolt type cards, etc.)
Piloting the Deck Show
Fogs are crucial in this deck. It is how you don't die. The essential thing you need to do is get out 2 or 3 consistent card draw cards, then hit a mill card. The rest of the deck is just cards that can keep you alive.
An optimal game consists of hitting a Howling Mine T2, and a Temple Bell T3. Then the rest of the game will be your piece of cake. (Friendless cake!)
