A deck based on flooding the battlefield with regular hoplites (as i like to call my soldier tokens) and speeding up the deployment of more expensive mercenaries with either Preeminent Captain or Windbrisk Heights, supporting your Hoplites with Brave the Elements and Safe Passage to get through the enemy lines, or just to live another day to fight again tomorrow. Its important to rise your troops morale with Honor of the Pure, and them giving their due respect to their Commander Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Every soldier is also a recruiter, and you have all the support from your nations conscription laws to ensure a continuous deployment of troops with Captain's Call,Launch the Fleet,Raise the Alarm. You might also get a cargo of wheat, at the expense of your nations production, that will ensure the battle keeps going for another week or so Blighted Steppe.
