Khans Standard Legal G/B Dredge Deck

I threw this together the other day for fun, and wow, Dredge actually seems pretty decent going into Khans. It's got a reliable mid-range beatdown while also having access to some really wild finishers. Here's my breakdown of the deck:

Deck Breakdown:

Main Creatures:

4x Nyx Weaver is your engine to get things into the graveyard. It also doubles as a way to grab a key card out of the graveyard by exiling itself. Essentially, you get to dig 2 cards every turn for Bile Blight, Whip of Erebos, Empty the Pits, etc and have a reliable way to pull things out when you need them.

4x Nighthowler is your big beater in this deck. Early on it might seem underwhelming, but this guy gets big, FAST.

4x Satyr Wayfinder helps smooth out your land drops and dump things into the graveyard early, while also just being a body that chumps and fills your graveyard.

3x Nemesis of Mortals is another beater like Nighthowler but while it might seem costly, it often comes down on turn 3-4, and the Monstrous can easily happen as early as turn 5.

4x Elvish Mystic and 2x Voyaging Satyr help the deck ramp and accelerate the board state a little faster. No Sylvan Caryatid simply because I don't have them, but those could easily swap for the Satyrs.

One-of Creatures:

Hornet Queen is probably one of the best finishers Dredge decks have access to. With mana dorks, it's completely feasible to hardcast it, let it die, and then whip it back from the graveyard to fill the field even more. Really crazy card. I might bump it up to 2 if I decide to remove the next card...

Soul of Innistrad is a really solid lategame beater that's hard to deal with. But the main reason to play it is for the activated abilities. Returning 3 creatures for 5 mana is insane value, so even just getting him in the graveyard and then using the exile ability can really help refill your hand in grindy matchups. Needs more testing but in theory I like it.

Boon Satyr used to fill up more of the deck because of the great interaction with Strength from the Fallen, but now it's at a lonely 1 main mostly as a cute creature combat trick.

Herald of Torment is a card that I really want to love, but feels lackluster when I draw several into my hand. It's here to bestow flying onto another creature to help with the lack of evasion in the deck. Might bump up to 2 instead of Boon Satyr.

Utility Cards:

4x Murderous Cut to kill your opponents board. The delve seems counter productive, but realistically, there's almost always junk like lands and Commune with the Gods in your graveyard that you can use up. Plus it's almost always easier to cast than Hero's Downfall (That card is not in the deck because I don't own any atm)

2x Whip of Erebos just really swings games in your favor. This card is a powerhouse at getting you back into the game if you're behind, and also helps with doubling EtB effects from Hornet Queen and even Reclamation Sage after Sideboarding. I'm almost tempted to bump it up to 3 since it's just so good.

2x Strength from the Fallen is a debatable card, but with how many things are Enchantment Creatures in the deck, it seems like it fits. I've seen some HUGE swings with this on the field, so don't dismiss it's potential to make your guys enormous for a turn.

1x Empty the Pits is just a crazy card. I've not done enough testing with it yet, but the ability to go wide lategame to chump or get around your opponent is huge. It definitely feels at odds with some of the other cards in the deck that rely on counting graveyards, but it's definitely a lategame option to pull out if you need it.

1x Bile Blight is rather underwhelming against a lot of the big threats, but it's still not a terrible card. Post-sideboard you can bring in the others to help counter aggro. The one in main is mostly to help handle any opponent's Hornet Queen tokens since most decks are green with at least one in their list, and also against Elspeth tokens should you need it.

And that's the deck! It definitely needs a few things here and there, but it's mostly stuff I don't have yet like a couple Temples and the Pain lands. Also, I won't go into the Sideboard in detail because it needs some big changes like a few Doomwake Giant, but hopefully you've gotten a feel for the deck! Leave any thoughts please and I'll respond as soon as I can! =)
