When I first started playing Magic, a friend of mine and I cracked open a prerealease pack from Rivals of Ixalan - and in that first pack, I found Huatli, Radiant Champion , which is one of the best enablers for a go-wide strategy ever. So I decided to put together a pretty jank Elf token deck using my dad's old cards - it featured cards like Priest of Titania , Coat of Arms , and more. This deck is meant to be an homage to my beginnings, first and foremost; however, it can still become incredibly powerful if left unchecked.

To start off, we're going to need a lot of tokens; the more tokens we have, the more powerful Huatli, Radiant Champion will get, drawing us cards, making our creatures huge, and more.

The best way to create tokens is with our signature spell, Sylvan Offering . This card basically allows you to get two Elves onto the board for every mana you pay into X; although one of the Elves goes to our opponents. This helps us in two ways; first, we can buddy up with one of our opponents and team up with them. And the most important part is, most of our spells don't discriminate based on who controls the Elves - Priest of Titania is just as good if your opponent controls 100 elves!

This philosophy also works with Mercy Killing , which allows us to take care of one of our opponent's pesky creatures while giving them Elves.

Less efficient, but still powerful token generators include Elvish Promenade , Presence of Gond , Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury , and Lys Alana Huntmaster , and Imperious Perfect . Freyalise also provides extra value in the form of mana ramp, card draw, and Naturalise!

Of course, we don't just want grotesque amounts of tokens so we can swing out with them (although that's definitely a plus). We also want to be able to use them for other things - card draw, mana ramp, and more!

For mana ramp, we want a full suite. We are adding in Elvish Archdruid , Elvish Guidance , Priest of Titania , and Wirewood Channeler .

For getting big creatures, we're throwing in Timberwatch Elf , Wirewood Pride , Immaculate Magistrate , Jagged-Scar Archers , Drove of Elves and Heedless One . Perhaps the most satisfying (and hated) cards we're putting in here is Coat of Arms , which will turn our 1/1 Elves into an unstoppable army.

Finally, we're adding everyone's favourite - lifegain. When swinging out, it's important to have enough life that we won't end up dying to anybody else - so we're including Wellwisher , Essence Warden , and Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen for good measure.

Of course, we can't get up and running without little guys to help us out - so we're including some smaller creatures for ramp, blocking, and more.

First off, we have classic mana dorks like Llanowar Elves , Elvish Mystic , and Arbor Elf .

Some good creatures to have for blocking and other utilities are Taunting Elf (which we can use to help our gigantic army get through), Seedcradle Witch , and Sunblade Elf .

Of course, we also need some things that every deck needs - removal, protection, and finishers. Although we have quite a few finishers, it's still not a bad idea to find extra mana dumps, as well.

For removal, we are running the classics - Beast Within , Generous Gift , Swords to Plowshares , and Oblation .

More important than that is how we can protect our creatures. If you can afford Heroic Intervention and Teferi's Protection , that's great - but I can't. So instead, I'm looking to protect them with Eerie Interlude , Join Shields , Make a Stand and Wrap in Vigor .

Finally, we're including Ezuri's Predation to make sure we can squeeze in enough damage to take out our opponents.
