Cavern of Souls only gives color for spells. Voidmage Prodigy requires color for its activated ability. So I'm heavily leaning towards dropping the swamp for another fetch.
You're right that Pyroclasm and the like are a serious issue. Last week, I was playing against Twin, with a Martyr of Frost, Dark Confidant, and Descendants' Path out (almost an ideal situation; if only that Martyr of Frost was a Voidmage Prodigy). He Pyroclasms, and I don't have any blue cards to reveal for Martyr of Frost. Then I can't recover from there. I guess the point of this story is that Martyr of Frost is a bad card... Thinking of trying out Daring Apprentice instead.

One of my favorite decks although I do miss the version with Skill Borrower.
Dark Confidant and Gigantomancer can be a deadly non-bo. Pretty much have to scry before you ever drop confidant.

I kind of miss Skill Borrower too, but it was just too unlikely to get a really good effect off the top of the deck. The fact that Skill Borrower cost 3 mana and died to all the removal in modern (esp bolt) meant that it was just too unreliable. One of the main reasons Descendants' Path is actually still great is that it's a card advatange machine that doesn't get hit by most modern removal (though I really wish Abzan Charm didn't make you sac an enchantment).
Dark Confidant is also a card advantage machine that we normally don't mind if it dies, since it normally at least replaces itself by giving us an extra card. I will admit to having dealt 8 damge to myself by revealing Gigantomancer, but that almost never happens. In fact, we have so many scry effects, that I like to joke that bob has never dealt damge to me.

I meant Dromoka's Command instead of Abzan Charm. I only see it when playing against abzan, which is a terrible matchup cause they also have Abrupt Decay. I don't think there's anything I can do to improve this match up.
Another bad matchup is merfolk, since their clock is normally about a turn faster than mine, and I really want to block their creatures, but I can't, since they all always have islandwalk. I feel like there is something I could do to make this match up better, but I have no idea what it is.

Cavern of Souls still gives you UU if you name humans, unless I'm missing something big and obvious, which does tend to happen... Maybe something in the sideboard could add extra protection against Pyroclasm, Anger of the Gods, Night of Souls' Betrayal, and the likes? That seems potentiality devastating if you don't have Voidmage Prodigy. Also you're right about Ensnaring Bridge. I wasn't sure about it anyway.
