The core of the deck is pretty simple. Champion of the Parish and Thalia's Lieutenant provide big, beefy creatures and counters, and Abzan Falconer makes them fly. If you cast Thalia's Lieutenant after you've got a bit of a board presence, Abzan Falconer gives you super flying fun time for pretty much all creatures in the deck in one fell swoop. The other way to get past blockers, removal, and boardwipes is Brave the Elements, which is insane in an all white deck.
An example of how the deck plays, ideally:
- Turn 1: Plains, cast Champion of the Parish
- Turn 2: Plains, cast Thalia's Lieutenant, Champion of the Parish is now 3/3. Swing for 3.
- Turn 3: Plains, cast Abzan Falconer, Champion of the Parish is now 4/4, Thalia's Lieutenant is now 2/2, both have flying. Swing for 6.
- Turn 4: Plains, cast Champion of the Parish or Thraben Inspector, then cast Silverblade Paladin, soulbinding it to the first Champion of the Parish you cast. It's now a 6/6 flier with double strike. Swing for 16.
