Your main desision is whether to bring Thalia out early, or delay to bring out some artifacts and enchantments. This will depend on your opponents' deck composition, as another creature-focused deck will ignore her ability. When you bring her out, leave her on defense for better control of when she leaves the battle. Let the enemy enjoy removing her, only to watch you spend all that mana sitting around on Unexpectedly Absent, Mass Calcify , or Archangel's Light . Decks with board-clearing damage can wipe out some of your weaker line troops, and creatures with trample may break through your defenses. Other than that, assemble an army, arm them to the teeth, then throw your weight around the battlefield.

For less maths, swap Thalia with Odric, Master Tactician or Thalia, Heretic Cathar
