How about using Orzhov Pontiff as a CoCo target that clears the opponent's tokens and can help out with a side beatdown strategy? I'd take out Golgari Charm for it, seeing as it has anti-synergy with your ETB life gain/loss guys... cool deck though, I like it a lot

How about Torpor Orb in the SB for abzan company and the likes?

How about Torpor Orb in the SB for Melira company and the likes? I disagree with Hexcimal. I think Torpor Orb will be great in the SB against certain deck like Melira Company since it prevents the infinite life gain/life loss combo plus it compliments the hunted creatures. just my 2 cents

Has CoCo been working out for you? With only 16 targets, I would imagine you whiff completely fairly often, considering I manage to whiff in decks with near 30 targets.

Coco works decently however it does sometimes fall flat but that is the risk we run, as for Torpor Orb I will not be running it ever in the deck as it shuts down the core purpose of this deck. Finally for Golgari Charm I know that it can kill my low cost creatures but I like this aspect of the card as I sometimes use it to trigger Blood Artist for a cheeky cluth victory.

i actually have deck like this myself and i've taken it to a GP and several FNMs. I have a list on here but its not up to date with the more successful version i turned it into. some things i found useful: Ghostly Prison works great for stopping those pesky tokens, but also any opposing threats actually played by the opponent. Thunderstaff is another card i've been testing out, which has given me interesting results. not exactly the same, but thought i'd at least mention it to you. second, i'd suggest Zealous Persecution over Golgari Charm not only is it one sided board wipe occasionally, but it also can help your creatures make some profitable blocks. Collected Company is great, but to truly shine you'll probably want a few more targets. i personally kept my Blood Seekers in to help close games, but if you don't want those, you can always add in Soul Warden. that one is more so because i'm not comfortable with that level of inconsistency with CoCo, so if you're ok with your odds, thats up to you. also i found this to be the most painful suggestion to take for my deck, but you may want to cut 1 troll. at 4 mana they are on the high end of the curve, and if you want to protect your investment you might want to keep open another mana. i found that with 4 of them, i too often had to keep them in hand. also i see you have 2 Gemstone Caverns. Thats a pretty risky play in a 4c deck in my opinion. i personally would switch 1 of those to another Tendo, but again that's part of personal preference. I wish you the best of luck, fellow hunter. +1

For two extra mana you can follow up a Hunted Troll or Hunted Phantasm with a Hallowed Moonlight to negate your opponent getting tokens, or even if you're getting the Troll or Phantasm off of a Collected Company, you can respond to the trigger and still eliminate your opponent getting tokens.

No Rakdos Charm? I thought that would have been a shoe-in for this sort of deck.

ArchFline says... #12

@MrWar Rakdos Charm is often useless for me as rarely does my enemy have excessive creatures to make use of it.

Have you considered Ratchet Bomb as another way to take care of tokens if you haven't gotten to the Illness in the Ranks? Or maybe add a couple Dizzy Spells?

I haven't had issues removing the creatures I give my opponents (or even their own creatures) such that it would be hard to warrent budgeting more deck space for additional removal.

Hey guys! I was working on a deck very similar to this, but more of a control type feel. I really like the differences here though, and may make a new deck based on this one. Check it out---> Salt Sisters (Soul sisters gone salty)

Aether Hub is technically better than Tendo Ice Bridge, since the counters can't be removed. Also it makes this build cheaper. Just a thought.

Just nitpicking, but I'd spread the sisters into 2 and 2 incase of spells targetting permanents with the same name.. Coukdnt really find anything else to change :D +1

Very very nice and funny Deckconception!

Only thing i suggest are some possibilities for the Sideboard, a 2of like Auramancer(with CoCo) or Reviving Melody(for a solid stance against more disruptiv intensiv Decks) .

-1 Kor Firewalker

-1 Swan Song.

+2 Reviving Melody

or/and perhaps some Protectors like Runed Halo or Lost Legacy

But overall its a cool solid Rogue List, good Luck with it further. +1 .

ArchFline says... #22

@KaraZorEl why? I don't run enough artifacts to make glissa useful and Deathgreeter is less effective than a soul sister.

@Hatchman I'm not sure of the usefulness of graveyard returning in this deck, the current build is relatively slow as a deck of this variety often is. The addition of graveyard returns offers little utility given the pace i would trade.

If I was trying to make a deck like this that was a little more budget friendly what would suggest as replacements, obviously not taking out coco.

I can't say that this deck can really go much cheaper but if you choose to forgo the sideboard and change the land base to consist of basics, Evolving Wilds and generally cheaper dual lands. These changes will make your speed and versatility suffer massively but it should shave off around $100-150 USD. Beyond these changes you could also drop the superior removal for cheaper alternatives.
