Ahhh my bad I forgot Illness in the Ranks only affects tokens. I got too excited because I thought I figured out a fun little combo there haha. If only Night of Souls' Betrayal was cheaper.

Well Night of Souls' Betrayal would also kill our Blood Artist which would limit us to just using Trespasser's Curse. However if there was an effect like that for only 2 or maybe even 3 mana I would happily run it give how sweet it would be to lock out a lot of those 1 toughness creatures that combo off in modern.

I know of the card, however I do not believe that it is reasonable for use in this deck. My reasoning is that Curse has one role which is to field wipe my opponents board to my favor. Notably Damnation serves the same role in my deck as the curse. So I must ask which of the two cards are most reliable, and effective. The answer is clearly Damnation because it is much faster, wide spread and effective. The wrath effect I have chosen may lack some niche value and synergy, but it gets the core job done quickly and effectively which matters most.

You are indeed correct Faradin, but it would be hilarious if it did work that way.
