@HIREZGOBLINDANCEPARTY The term Combo Elves is a broader term than you think it is, and it has been in use long before the specific deck that you are thinking about.

And if you want to get all technical about it, the elf decks of this Pro Tour, are probably the closest you can come to being "the" "combo elves".


In fact, when this deck was created 4 years ago, a little bit before Craterhoof Behemoth was printed, the typical elf deck was much much closer to this deck than it currently is.

Here are a few examples:

You'll notice that one of those decks has no natural order, and the other has no glimpse of nature in it. That is because the glimpse deck requires a certain creature density to function, and non-creature spells that 2-for-1 you when they get countered are bad for that creature density.

At the time, the glimpse deck was the one called "Combo Elves", and the natural order deck was called "NO elves"


And for the record, I know what combo elves is, and the current configuration of my elf deck is the G/B Natural Order/ Deathrite shaman / craterhoof behemoth deck that you know.
