Current Question: What do you guys think of my lands? I'm not a fan of the slowness of Rith's Grove, and I have some other ways to get plains mana onto the field, and i only ever need one plains to show up. I originally was trying to make a budget deck, but whatever i'll take any land recommendations.
Starts as a mana ramp deck. Rosheen Meanderer is a blessing here to help me get out hydras even quicker. I have 8 defenders that mana ramp off of one another to create insane amounts of mana. I once playtested and had 20 mana available by turn 5.
My win conditions can occur through Mayael's Aria, with the help of
Bioshift
to speed things along. I love bioshift because it can be played offensively and defensively, and as an instant your opponent can never know when its going to be used. Play it at the end of your opponents turn to give a hydra enough counters to equal 19, and with a mayaels aria on the field you win during your upkeep, before your opponent even knew what hit em.
An enchanted hydra with
Mage Slayer
is my second win condition. Just use those hydras to eat directly at their life, and even Canopy Cover can do the same thing against opponents without flying creatures
If neither of those work, i'll have to win the simple way by just beating down my opponents creatures to get to their life total. Not the easiest method compared to the other two, but hydras are still scary no matter what lol.
