Sideboard

.This deck utilizes the insane amount of ramp available in this block to put out the creatures that can most efficiently use it. Or rather, the creatures that come out when you can disregard efficiency.

Card Analysis

1 drops: Elvish Mystic: gives extra mana and chump blocks early aggro.

2 drops: Sylvan Caryatid: gives mana and blocks early aggro, and can't be easily destroyed by your opponent.

Gyre Sage: gives mana and blocks early aggro. Can be used to dump +1/+1 counters from your Vastwood Hydra, and doubles whenever Kalonian Hydra attacks.

3 drops: Axebane Guardian: gives mana per defender. Get more use out of any copies of itself and Sylvan Caryatid you control.

Predator's Rapport : If things are going really poorly early and your opponent somehow managed to put you on the verge of losing, this card will help you last a bit longer. Once you get a big bad hydra out, you can use it to taunt your helpless opponent.

4 drops: Karametra's Acolyte: gives 1+ mana for each creature you have on the field. This card is an all star, and the true backbone of this deck. Makes Mistcutter Hydra a homerun.

Polukranos, World Eater: 5/5 for 4 mana, becomes monstrous and clears the board.

5-? drops:Mistcutter Hydra: Blue's worst nightmare. Can be cast at any phase in the game regardless of how well your ramp worked out. Gains +1/+1 counters, which can be doubled by...

Kalonian Hydra: Doubles +1/+1 counters. Half of your creatures use +1/+1 counters. Enough said.

Vastwood Hydra: same deal as Mistcutter Hydra except instead of being an inevitable juggernaut, it's a problem that just doesn't go away. Being able to transfer counters to Gyre Sage or any other creature you choose is invaluable.

Nemesis of Mortals: A contingency card. If your opponent was expecting you and had board wipes to clear your ramp creatures, these are your fall back. When everything else is dead and gone, this guy has the potential to be a 10/10 for 4 mana

Garruk's Horde : This card lets you dig through your deck faster to just power play through your weak creatures. Being a 7/7 with trample is just a bonus.

garruk, caller of beast: Another card for burning through your libarary and skipping past the boring stuff.
