Hi there, this is my first attempt at making a competitive standard deck. I only have access to SOI cards at the moment, but I can go into the zendikar expansions if need be. I am aiming at utilizing Eldritch Moon expansion as well.

The deck runs around Ulvenwald Hydra and getting him to do most of the work. I added blue cards in to help me get to hydra faster using for instance Nagging Thoughts.

Pretty much the steps to getting the hydra out is:

1. Getting tokens onto the battlefield using cards like Tireless Tracker and Trail of Evidence .

2. Once I have said tokens, I need to get Briarbridge Patrol out.

3. Once Briarbridge Patrol is out I'm in the homestretch, with me only needing Ulvenwald Hydra and 6 lands untapped. Then i sac 3 tokens and i get a free hydra as well.

So far when play testing against normal standard decks I do quite well, but not so well vs competitive decks. I want this deck to reach that next level, but not go broke doing it.
