This deck features a whole lot of mana ramp as well as many different win conditions. Its a frequent turn five win with an occasional turn four win.
In your starting hand you're looking for: 2-4 lands (basic or non-basic), 1-2 mana dorks, either a couple hydras or a
Predator Ooze
, and an enchanment/sorcery.
Turn 1: Land - Mana Dork
Turn 2: Land - Mana Dork - Elvish Archdruid
Turn 2 (alternative): Land -
Predator Ooze
Turn 2 (second alternative): Land - Mana Dork - Mana Dork - Mana Dork
Turn 3: Land - Primordial Hydra or other Hydra or
Predator Ooze
and an enchantment, or more mana dorks
Turn 4: Land - More Hydra fun plus
Predator Ooze
fun plus trample fun (if you played a
Predator Ooze
turn 2 then you can use
Gigantiform
here and swing with a 10/10 indestructible with trample)
Turn 5: Swing for lethal, if you can't, play more hydras and enchantments and swing for lethal next turn
Cards to consider:
Gigantiform
- turns anything into an 8/8 with trample, for example, a hydra that already has numerous +1/+1 counters on it. Probably my favorite combo with it is dropping a
Predator Ooze
turn 2 and the gigantiforming it turn 4 and swinging with a 10/10 indestructible with trample that gets bigger every time he attacks
Rancor- key ability=trample, and unless you exile it it never goes away.
Vines of Vastwood- protection from removal
Primordial Hydra- just keeps getting nastier and nastier mwahaha.
Kalonian Hydra- considering almost all my creatures obtain considerable amounts of +1/+1 counters this card is incredibly fun to have on the board
Mistcutter Hydra
- immediate impact on the game and can't be countered
Predator Ooze
- 3 drop indestructible that slowly becomes too much to deal with, or not so slowly if you
Gigantiform
it or use
Increasing Savagery
... Or both.
Khalni Hydra
- Casting an 8/8 with trample for free is just fun.
Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx- with all the green mana symbols in my permanents I can tap this for ridiculous amounts of mana, and with Voyaging Satyr I can do it again
