An all-green Tron lineup featuring hydras... or a mono-green hydra deck with Tron lands, you decide!

Spend three turns setting things up with Sylvan Scrying and Expedition Map or dropping dorks like the Metallic Mimic or Birds of Paradise. This deck doesn't usually end up mana screwed, so the Birds of Paradise can block if you are feeling comfortable with the match-up. The goal is to drop a 7/7 Hydra (or larger with the Birds or Mimic) on turn 4. The Mistcutter Hydra is the unsung hero as it cannot be countered and has haste. The Genesis Hydra can hit the Kalonian Hydra, Primeval Titan, or Karn Liberated by turn 4 or bring out Blightsteel Colossus for a late-game beater (also great against infinite-life combos). The Genesis Hydra is a cast trigger so you still end up with something it it's countered. Tooth and Nail is also great for pulling out the big creatures. This deck gets out of hand quickly when Primeval Titan shows up to dig up some Tron lands.

By playing X-cost hydras, this deck can take advantage of flooding in the late-game, and every threat demands an answer from the opponent. It's not the fastest deck in Modern, but if the phrase "I swing with a 48/48 Trample and an 11/11" sounds fun, give this deck a go!
