My version doesn't run as much reanimation, so Reveillark would be great there. Though using a loop with Karmic Guide isn't a bad thing sometimes. My meta is at a stage where everyone runs at least one combo packed deck, and coming on top in a game against like that is some personal satisfaction. When you get the time check out my list, and Zacama. That is what I am running atm for "casual" kitchen table magic. :)

SlavicGhaespar: Oh, trust me, I always love a good combo. I'm running my The Locust God list for a reason, heh. But this is my deck for when my playgroup gets salty about constant T3 combos.
Suns_Champion: Thank you!! :D I'm so happy that it achieved such a high rank so fast! And, in response to your suggestions - Hell's Caretaker should certainly be in here, and I'm not sure how I forgot it. It is a creature, though, so it gets eaten by most of my board-wipes.
Stitch Together is okay, and I might find a slot, but Exhume is not very good here because I'm in the business of eating my opponents' huge creatures to fuel my small, efficient ones. I will always lose advantage because my opponents will have something better to reanimate (compare, for example, my Sidisi, Brood Tyrant list, which DEFINITELY gets value off of Exhume).

Su-Chi+Nim Deathmantle+Blood Artist+ any sac outlet for infinite ping? Plus, infinite Death triggers with Elenda.

Gonna do what I usually do and brainstorm a bunch of cards in the vain hope that some of them will be of use:
Maybe Martyr's Bond instead of e.g. Grave Pact? Dunno if you produce enough enchantments and/or artifact permanents to make it worth it but it could finish off everthing your enemies own that were exempt from e.g. Cataclysm.
Maybe Cauldron of Souls as a source of backup recursion which can save more than just your commander? (And she'll shed that -1/-1 counter pretty fast.)
Tombstone Stairwell is a pet card of mine and I'd love for it to make a comeback. Maybe also consider other, similar cards like Curse of Disturbance, Benevolent Offering or Alliance of Arms?
In the same vein, maybe a non-Creature card that benefits from enemy creatures like Bloodchief Ascension, Authority of the Consuls, Ashes of the Abhorrent, (Carnival of Souls) or (Moonlit Wake)? (I assume you've already considered e.g. Blood Artist.)

I'll toss my hat in the ring here as I'm making a list right now and this has been immensely helpful. Have you given Malevolent Awakening a look yet? I feel like it's a perfect fit for Elenda. Strands of Night might be a fun inclusion, if you don't mind losing a swamp every once and a while to get back Elenda.

Skullclamp is good, espically with Bloodghast or Reassembling Skeleton
Why angelic destiny?
do you like Thawing Glaciers for this style of deck?
How has thoughtpicker witch been for you? maybe another free sac outlet like Carrion Feeder could be better?
Smallpox is good as well
Maybe more mana rocks or card draw?
Grave Pact is a nasty card
Crucible of Worlds is good with land destruction
no graveyard hate? Has this hurt you at all?
This was a very stream of thought review of your deck hope it reads ok.
I'm also interested in joining the "deckwatch" if you're still looking for people

I would highly recommend Endless Cockroaches. It keeps coming back to your hand, providing something for all of your sac outlets. Speaking of sac outlets, why no Sadistic Hypnotist, Dictate of Erebos, or Ashnod's Altar? Animation Module + Ashnod's Altar makes Elenda, the Dusk Rose infinitely big. Also, why no creatures that drain? Like Blood Artist.

IAmTheWraith: Thanks, as always, for the comments :) I'm trying to avoid infinite combos in this list, however.
Coward_Token: I'm trying to avoid the standard "aristocrats" staples here, TBH. I do love me some Bloodchief Ascension, though...
grimmbone: I gave Malevolent Awakening a look, but I wasn't sure that 7 mana was worth spending to get my commander back...she's not extremely essential for this deck, to be honest. I've definitely been considering Strands of Night here, to be honest - have you found that it's pulled its weight so far in your list? :) And I'm glad this has been helpful to you!!
hoardofnotions redux: Yeah, it's unforgivable that I haven't slotted Skullclamp in here yet :/ I just don't know what to cut...Angelic Destiny is a good way to give Elenda extra power, gives me recurring flying blockers (something this deck struggles with), etc - still one of my most likely cuts. Not overly fond of Thawing Glaciers in general without some form of untapping effect, myself. Thoughtpicker Witch has been AMAZING for me in this list, would HIGHLY recommend. Nobody sees her coming, but she turns the tide of games. Smallpox was so-so when it was in here, honestly. I do have an extra Crucible of Worlds sitting around, but I'm only running a few MLD cards so I'm not sure it's particularly good here. I haven't had problems with opponents' GYs yet (I can just re-kill most things they reanimate, or steal it from them), but if I do have that problem I'll add more hate. And finally, I haven't gotten to test Hidden Stockpile yet, but it seems really good TBH!
Pabs4444: Hmmm. I really don't like that I have to keep paying 1BB for a 1/1, though. Why not just use Reassembling Skeleton? As I said above, I'm trying hard to avoid the standard WB token-sac-aristocrats theme here, which means few sac outlets, and I'm avoiding infinite combos as well. I should be running Sadistic Hypnotist, though.
Thank you all for your comments and support! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you; things have been horribly busy...

Spawning Pit lets you sacrifice everything before an enemy board wipe so Elenda grows, and later you can pump out spawn artifacts to sacrifice all over again. Hellfire and Hymn to Tourach don't make much sense to me when you can run Divine Reckoning, Dusk / Dawn, Sadistic Hypnotist, or Skullclamp (some of which others have already recommended).

Daedalus19876 I was actually very impressed with strands the few times it's showed up on the board during my sessions. Reanimating massacre wurm twice in a single turn at instant speed is wildly satisfying haha

I like that Endless Cockroaches gets around graveyard hate, unlike Reassembling Skeleton. Not saying it should replace it, just another good card to have in a deck around sacrificing creatures.

I like that you used a story to both describe the deck and highlight featured cards. Very creative

Hey, you have listed Fetid Heath twice. Might check that.

Skavvie: Thanks! :) I still want to slip in another few cards there, but I haven't had time to revisit it yet haha.
zenia: Oops - fixed! Thanks.

What's the reasoning behind Cataclysmic Gearhulk? I have one, but never even considered it for my Elenda.
March 28, 2018 6:58 a.m.
This may be a stupid question, but couldn't it be useful to have Oloro as your commander to get the life gain because a lot of your cards say "Sacrifice" meaning Elendra would go to the command zone (rather than the graveyard) and NOT trigger her death counters? But I'm a newbie, maybe I just don't have my MTGO commander settings right. Blood Artist as a maybe?

DwaginFodder: Honestly, a few reasons. I initially just threw it in because I had a foil copy around and it's a board wipe that lets Elenda survive (and get lots of death counters). But honestly, I've found it to be ASTONISHINGLY good - the curve of Elenda into Gearhulk is very strong, and in the late-game it disrupts any deck that's too heavy on one permanent type. It's also one of my best methods of artifact/enchantment removal.
It's like having an additional (slightly worse) copy of Cataclysm in the deck (which is one of the MVPs of course). Overall, I've found Cataclysmic Gearhulk to work very well, and I'd recommend its inclusion.
dresmith: Glad you figured it out! I don't play on MTGO, so I couldn't help directly, but you CAN choose to put your commander into the GY (and thus get Elenda's trigger). Hope that helps :)

I made a few changes to my deck. I added Sunbond and Suture Priest
March 30, 2018 11:19 a.m.
I also replaced Reaper from the Abyss with Sheoldred, Whispering One It costs one more mana, but I think it has better utility, especially if you are going up against another creature/token deck. Just personal preference.

Congrats on the #1 spot!
Have you seen Stitch Together and Exhume as possible recursion?
Also Hell's Caretaker. Sac a token made by Elenda to get Elenda back.
