Playtested four game against Four-Color Rally pre-sideboard and the deck gets stomped. It's just too slow for game one. Even if you Duress their Collected Company or Rally the Ancestors, they always either flash it back with a flipped Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip or draw into it with Grim Haruspex, Catacomb Sifter, or Elvish Visionary. And I only came up on a Transgress the Mind maybe twice throughout all four games, all of which lasted more than 10 turns each with a lot of card draw from Read the Bones. Should probably up the count on Transgress the Mind, it's pretty good and gets rid of a lot of great cards, on top of making it so they can't be flashed back with a flipped Jace.
Then there's Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. Four-Color Rally and even Abzan Blue run three to four Reflector Mage and/or Sidisi's Faithful, so even when you get him out, he doesn't stay there long. He almost won the last game, but CoCo into Reflector Mage and flashed back into another Reflector Mage ruined it. Honestly, I think you could up the count to 3 Kalitas and you can probably mainboard Flaying Tendrils, seeing how prevalent Four-Color Rally and token strategies were these past two weeks at the SCG Standard Opens in Atlanta and Columbus.
Here are the results and deck lists for those two SCG Opens. I put up the top 8 decks from both Opens on here if you want to try and playtest against them yourself. I'm gonna run some games against Four-Color Rally post-sideboard and see if the matchup is any better.

Well I'm glad it gets to late game every time. I changed it up some not sure how I feel about ob nix. I feel like it is laking in creatures. I like the fact it goes late game though.

- I think I'll splash blue for some counter spelling abilities. Then I can also put in Radiant Flames and Painful Truths.

I think I edited it and got it to a better state. Not sure if I play tested them 100% effectively. But I feel like it is better. Land still feels heavy late game but it works.

Most control decks run more than 24 lands. 24 is the average number at 40% of your deck, but when your win con is a 6-drop with 2 mana of the same color, and you're running a 3 color deck with no ramp sources, you need to make sure you get there.

Surprisingly you can get the double manager for her easy. With fetches for Smoldering Marsh I haven't had an issue. But I may give it a try.

Cool! Looking good, maybe a 25th land would help just for draws. Also like Carrier Thrall since he can easily make Kalitas and dust stalker turn 3 as well as goblin dark-dwellers and chandra a turn early as well, but it's also super nice to be able to block two creatures essentially with only having to cast 1 creature :)
I think Kolaghan's Command is really useful with carrier thralls since u can burn or discard them and return thrall back to you before the end of their turn, but expensive I know, also Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker seams like a decent 5 drop for you to either burn something big for 4 damage or fly over every turn for 4/4 damage that's indestructible, plus I like the new liliana, Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip she would go great since u would be letting ur carrier thralls die without much hesitation you would get ur zombie and a flipped planeswalker pretty early, don't know how effective that is but with u can keep bringing back creatures to the field with her - ability and save mana for burn spells and heavy hitters

This plays so beautifully now. I don't have the fetches so i'll have to work the mana base over a bit to get it right but it plays amazing. Thank you Prophetic__Sage and AzureMage I finally feel like I have a standard deck I can be proud of.

I feel like languish isn't even a good board wipe anymore, against Rally they drain you for a ton, against Abzan Rhino survives, against Dragons they'll just dash Kolaghan the next turn, against Jeskai Black Tasigur survives. The only deck I feel like it's actually good against Bant Company.
Otherwise, this deck looks sweet! R/B control in standard, yay! A few suggestions: Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury is like a bigger flying Dust Stalker with the option to stay on the field. I would play it over the Stalker.
Naturalize is in your sideboard, it's a green card and your RB?
Sea Gate Wreckage looks hard too activate, maybe try some red Painlands.
Nice deck, good luck at FNM!

Naturalize is there because of the pain land and your opponent enchanting Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet really sucks. I have been told by multiple people that Languish isn't a solid board wipe. I'm just not sure what to replace it with seeing how it drops -4/-4 on everything. As for Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury I can dig it. Prerotation its very solid and cheep so I might get a few to try out. Sea Gate Wreckage is for when you have no cards. The only three ways to active it is. Have a second one out, have out Llanowar Wastes, or sac a eldrazi sion. You may be right though on the pain land aspect. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. Thanks for the advice. As a newer player it is really helpful.

Okay, but it seems hard to cast Naturalize off of only 4 green sources. Your welcome for the advice, just trying to spread my wisdom (if I have any) around lol.
Good luck at FNM :)

Aaaaand I just used the wrong your. Should've been you're. So much for wisdom lol.

You're right it will be. Is there something you would replace it and/or Languish with?
February 18, 2016 11:27 a.m.
AzureMage that might work. I really hope that SOI gives us another board wipe.

What about splashing white instead of green for Planar Outburst?
February 18, 2016 2:41 p.m.
Prophetic__Sage says... #21
That's a pretty good idea mainly because of Crackling Doom being an easy four of for any Deckd running those colors also you get Silkwrap I just kept green in mine for den protector and top end recursion, so mardu is a strong option and gives u the best way yo kill tons of the biggest threats
February 18, 2016 2:56 p.m.
By splashing white, you also get Felidar Cub to deal with enchantments, along with Fate Forgotten and Utter End if you need to exile. You already have Kolaghan's Command to deal with artifacts, and then there's stuff like Smash to Smithereens and Vandalize, too. You'd also be able to make use of Hallowed Moonlight for your Sideboard.
With the painlands, you could also possibly make use of Eldrazi Displacer to flicker the Dark-Dwellers, Fleshbag, and the Parents.

Cub kinda wonky Erase better in so many ways
-exiles -costs 1 less-is an instant
Displacer is a cool idea maybe too cute, but Def works great for blink value :) which could be great for blocks and attacks
February 18, 2016 4:23 p.m.
Dang so really there is tons to do if I add a splash of white. I am deferentially thinking +2 Planar Outburst -2 Languish. I want to get Crackling Doom in some where but not sure what else to pull for it. I also really like the idea of using Hallowed Moonlight and Eldrazi Displacer. I think ill copy the deck and see what I can do for moving things around to fit them in. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thank you AzureMage, Prophetic__Sage, and HighDragon.PKMN all this advice is really making this deck amazingly fun to play.
February 18, 2016 4:26 p.m.
With all the creature removal you have combined with hand disruption and Kalitas, Abzan Company and Four-Color Rally decks shouldn't be too much of a problem, as long as you either get rid of their CoCos and Rallys or get Kalitas down before they have any board presence. The only problem I can think of is Reflector Mage, which completely hoses Kalitas, but you already have Infinite Obliteration in the side. Can't wait to see some results from your FNM.

I'm definitely going to have to playtest this a bit against some decks. The curve looks good and I like Chandra, Flamecaller as a late game finisher. I'll put together some decks from this week and last week's SCG Open and see how this plays out against them.
