I have been meaning to build this deck for years, ever since Jumpstart came out. I love commanders with a strong theme and Gruul is still one of my favorite color combinations, ever since my first deck which was Hallar, the Firefletcher.

We will see how it feels in actual play, but it seems like this deck needs a bit of ramp to set up, but it can get pretty scary once it has a few big creatures. I am really drawn to the idea of a deck that can control the board through fight effects and mandated blocks. Control in Gruul! Who knew?
