I am the Dragonspeaker (Standard MTG Deck)

Really enjoying the white splash and 25 lands. It improves my aggro and control match ups while making the deck more powerful overall. Dromoka shuts the door on a lot of decks. The 3 extra fetches do improve your draws with 4 Coursers in the deck and helps you grind when needed.

Had to drag myself to the shop. Tired, old, long week. Glad I did cause I had fun. Good games, good opponents.

Rd 1 Temur Ascendancy 2-1

Good interesting games. I really have to rush and get this deck dead. I can't interact much when it goes off, and it usually does around turn 6-7. Pretty sure all 3 games came down to the loser winning on the next turn.

Rd 2 Jeskai Ascendancy 2-0

I drew really well in both games. Where this combo can get under Devotion pretty regularly, Dragons is pretty we equipped to race Jeskai. Dragonlord Dromoka is pretty unbeatable.

Rd 3 Mono Black Warriors 2-0

Blood-Chin Rager and Mogis's Marauder can be a problem. I was able to ramp into a early Dromoka game 1. Game 2 I landed a Nest and had a bunch of burn including 2 Anger, drew a Dromoka. I really drawing well again.

Rd 4 Mardu Dragons 2-1

Agreed to split prize before playing. Game 1 a Thoughtseize and Kolaghan's Command wrecked my hand. Game 2 I took an aggressive line to close it out, needed my opponent to miss a land drop and not have Kolaghan, storms fury. Had to not flip a Den Protector when it got Roared in order to Roar an Ashcloud Phoenix and follow it up with a Stormbreath Dragon. Worked out for me. Game 3 he Thoughtseized a Courser and Roared my Mystic. He missed his 3rd land drop, I drew into gas and lands to close it out.
