B: Black
D: Demons
S: Recommended for Single one-to-one combat
C: Control
The idea of this deck is rather easy:
- Control the game by destroying all of your opponent's creatures, using cards like:
Disfigure
Works well at the beginning of the game when you have small amounts of mana and usually opponent creatures have small toughness
Bile Blight
Also for the beginning of the game, but works well in later stages too. Takes care of repetitive creatures who get stronger together: (Humans,Tokens,Elves, Goblins)
Drown in Sorrow
Similar use to
Bile Blight
. But also helps with the drawing using scry(1).
Sever the Bloodline
and
Hero's Downfall
help to get rid of the big creatures. Also help with reappearing creatures (zombies, spells bringing creatures from the graveyard...) and to get rid of annoying Planeswalkers, respectively.
Tendrils of Corruption
This cards helps both to get rid of big creatures and to recover those lost life points due to attacks in early stages of the game or due to the draw engines. Is better played at later stages of the game.
Perilous Vault
Helps to get rid of everything. For drastic efficient solutions.
- Further Control the game by discarting essential cards from your opponent with:
Inquisition of Kozilek
mainly for use at the beginning of the game, thus avoiding your opponent to play any cards with small mana costs.
Mire's Toll
farther in the game, allowing you (by having a lot of mana in play) to see opponent's hand and descard any card.
- Draw engines to ensure you get the necessary spells to destroy opponent's creatures and get mana efficiently:
Sign in Blood
- End the game with Strong (All destroying) Flying Demons:
Demon of Dark Schemes
Allows to clean the playfield from unwanted small creatures. Allows you to get control of opponent's death creatures.
Ob Nixilis Reignited
just makes sense with the synergy of the deck, allows to destroy creatures and draw cards.
