oh my, this looks like it has a little bit of everything, how does it play out? I'm also making a counters deck, will post it later :) if you're doing counters why not Ajani, Caller of the Pride ?

We'll WakingPhoenix, the deck plays out awesome against any opponent without Aggro. Also, I was considering White instead of red but I found out it was better. Ajani, Caller of the Pride isn't in my colors.

Midrange decks tend to mainboard a lot more removal so they have a chance against any faster paced decks.

Also i'm of the suspicion that you will get mana screwed constantly with this.

+1 !

Who doesn't love a fatty with +1 +1 counters on it right?! Yeeeeea buddy!!

Reign of Orzhova

Could you plus one it and give me feedback pretty please?

Schuesseled I never get mana screwed believe it or not and I have 2x Golgari Charm , 2x Abrupt Decay , and 2x Magma Jet just for Aggro.

Schuesseled says... #8

That's not really enough, you need at least 10 removal spells, preferably a couple of boardwipes as well. Golgari Charm isn't really that good against all aggro decks.

You don't have to mainboard them, but you do need them.

Ever consider Dying Wish ? I have found it to be invaluable in my counter decks that build big creatures. Opponents tend to shy away from killing that creature because of the hit, which gives you more time to put more counters on it and make it hurt even more.

The most interesting deck in the world

Thanks for the comment! Dying Wish is interesting and will consider it.

Aren't you dying on everything ?

TheGamer says... #12

nestalim what do you mean? I do very good against lots of decks except control and life gain. I never have mana problems and am consistent.

While you are all here debating and stuff, come check out my latest brew, inspired by BBD'S deck at GP Louisville.

i like decks with lots of different PWs, even if you don't have great creature control, it puts them in the awkward position of wondering who to attack. haha

you need 4 Nightveil Specter . Flying in itself can be an easy win con, plus your 4 colored deck will only the occasion RDW will allow his ability to be more than 80% always useful, annnnnd always play their lands for just extra mana, whether the mountain be colorless or not :D

Also, It really fucks up scry decks considering just one of these on the field can pretty much always ruin the scried set up.

Wow, I never ever thought of that! The only problem is the mana cost. Black and Blue are my most un-occurring colors.

It's spelled "shenanigans" :)

How do you combat Burning Earth ?

November 15, 2013 7:29 a.m.

TheGamer says... #19

Well DaShPrime, I don't concede but I don't combat it. Maybe I could get lucky and play a Golgari Charm to get rid of it if my life isn't to low and that's the same case with Whip of Erebos . I would gain more life than I would lose life.

This deck has serious consistency issues that are more important than just "you're running 4 colors without Farseek to save you".

Looking at this list, I can't tell what your win condition is. You have a bunch of powerful cards, but I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish with them. So many of your cards don't interact with one another.

Master of Waves was literally made for monoblue devotion decks, but you're running relatively little blue. Corpsejack Menace seems like he was just thrown in because a couple of your cards come in with +1/+1 counters. Both of those cards aren't very strong unless you build around them, which you haven't done.

I can tell that this deck will win some of its games, because it's filled with many of the best cards in Standard. I just can't help but think that it could win so many more games if all of those cards worked towards a single, unified goal.

This deck is a clusterfuck of expensive cards with no strategy and/or consistency to back it up.

you already at 4 colors, why not add the fifth for Chromanticore lol

But seriously, interesting deck you've made here.

still no Nightveil Specter ? [sadface]

January 27, 2014 4:36 p.m.

TheGamer says... #24

jchudz: that is a great idea! The thing is I already made a deck based on the card, Five Color Shenainagains. Just check profile :) Thanks for the comment and +1!

Dreno33, to be honest, it was my absolutely favorite card in the deck. I gave the deck a break though and traded them away for some cards in needed for another deck. Please no sad face buddy! I am currently trying to get back! Once I get 2 I will add it to the deck.
