An adaptation of RUG Eternal Command used in the 2012 Player's Championship. BUG colors forego the reach of red for the permission/removal package to deal with threats they normally might not be able to deal with, looking at you unbanned Bitterblossom.

THIS DECKLIST IS WHAT I'M LOOKING TO TAKE TO GP RICHMOND IN MARCH.

Aggro/Creatures

• Tarmogoyf: Cause he's a threat immediately, no need to pump.

• Snapcaster Mage: If I play a spell once, chances are I'll want to play it again

• Vendilion Clique: Can either replace a dead card or get me information on an aggressive body.

• Eternal Witness: Half of the namesake of the deck, when Aether Vial get online, you can softlock your opponent with Cryptic Command and Eternal Witness.

Control/Non-Creature Spells

• Abrupt Decay: In a fast format, it can get rid of unsightly 3 drops and under, here's looking at you Aether Vial.

• Aether Vial: Allows us to replay Eternal Witnesses off of our cryptic commands, creating our softlock engine.

• Inquisition of Kozilek: Hand disruption to remove the 3 and under drops before they even hit the field.

• Thoughtseize: Best at what it does.

• Cryptic Command: The most powerful control card in modern, key piece to the engine of the deck.

• Remand: Is the tempo counter of choice, delays the opponent and draws me a card.

• Spell Snare: 2 drops are a thing, especially after the unbanning of Bitterblossom.

• Liliana of the Veil: Valuetown when played right.

SideBoard

The sideboard is designed to offer me the option to switch to a Gifts Ungiven package if the match-up would just be dominating. If gifts in not the answer, then I can side in Gifts Ungiven for card advantage and quality.

• Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite: More common gifts target, shuts down many strategies.

• Engineered Explosives: Good variable removal, also an easy artifact to get in the GY for Goyf.

• Gifts Ungiven: Allows for a transformation out of the SB, or just offers pure card advantage/quality.

• Iona, Shield of Emeria: Gifts target, kills mono-colored strategies.

• Mindbreak Trap: For storm or sometimes tron.

• Nihil Spellbomb: Cause Living End is a deck, also helps against Pod sometimes.

• Surgical Extraction: Nice GY hate, and info. FO FREE!

• Temple Garden: White for Unburial Rites, or just an extra land for some longer match-ups.

• Thrun, the Last Troll: Win-Con when facing the control Mirror.

• Unburial Rites: Allows for the transformation out of the SB with Gifts Ungiven.
