"My grandfather's deck has no pathetic cards, Kaiba. But it does contain... the unstoppable Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia    !"

"Mishra! Thats not possible...no one has ever been able to call him!"

You would think Melding Mishra, Claimed by Gix   would be pretty difficult, but with cards like Gamble, Oriq Loremage, Buried Alive, Entomb, etc. It can be quite consistent to get Phyrexian Dragon Engine   in your graveyard. Since Phyrexian Dragon Engine   can be unearthed with haste, not long after putting him in the graveyard will you be able to meld. In case you draw it and play it, cards like Crashing Drawbridge, Urabrask the Hidden, and Ogre Battledriver help make it so that the moment your opponents see what you are doing you can threaten to meld. After playtesting this deck quite a few times, I've got it where i consistently meld Mishra and often on curve at turn 5. Trust me when I say that people are not ready to fight Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     by that time.

So you have an incredibly powerful card in Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia    , what do you do now? On its own, it is already devastating. However, when you combine him with ways to get more of his attack trigger through cards like Delina, Wild Mage, Combat Celebrant, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, etc. It is much, much worse. Now your opponent's creature's can get -2/-2, you can deal 6 damage to anything, make people discard 4 cards, and/or create way too many powerstone tokens. Yes, you can do three of these things on one turn. The most powerful thing Mishra can do in my opinion is give all of your creatures Trample and Menace. Several creatures in this deck want to deal damage to your opponent or attack, which makes that a lot safer and consistent to do once they have to deal with all your creatures having Menace and Trample. Port Razer, Etali, Primal Storm, and Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor become very abusable. Not to mention, the extra combat enablers I mentioned earlier make this threat twice as bad. Your opponent will want to remove Mishra ASAP.

Tyrite Sanctum, Daring Fiendbonder, and your classic Lightning Greaves/Swiftfoot Boots really help make sure Mishra is a persistent threat. Something to note is that it isn't actually that difficult to meld Mishra again. When Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     dies, both cards go into the graveyard. Remember, Phyrexian Dragon Engine   has unearth and Mishra can always be replayed from your command zone if you have the mana for it. It may not even be hard to do this on the same turn, provided you have a haste enable like Crashing Drawbridge and you can pay for the unearth. Remember, powerstone tokens CAN pay for both Phyrexian Dragon Engine   and the unearth ability. One card you could slot into the deck is Mishra, Tamer of Mak Fawa. If they sacrifice a permanent to destroy your melded Mishra, they'll also have to sacrifice two permanents to deal with Phyrexian Dragon Engine   and your replayed Mishra. I didn't include it in my version, but if you do find that your permanents are getting a lot of hate from your play group it is a good card, and it provides Phyrexian Dragon Engine   with a cheaper unearth cost. However, if they really focus on ruining your plans it could be difficult to meld again...

Mishra, Claimed by Gix   is actually pretty good on it's own and still works with the rest of the deck quite well. Multiple combats through cards like Combat Celebrant and Moraug, Fury of Akoum allow his attack trigger to happen twice, and really lends itself for an affective aggro strategy even without meld. If your opponents spent to many resources dealing with your original plans with Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia    , they might be surprised to find that lil Mishra can hit quite hard too. This Mishra is particularly effective with many creatures, which we have some very cheeky ways of getting. Such ways also are good answers to boardwipes and makes use of the graveyard tutors you used earlier to find Phyrexian Dragon Engine  , which leads me to the next section

To make use of the graveyard aspect that this deck has to tutor for Phyrexian Dragon Engine  , there is plenty of mass reanimate spells like Agadeem's Awakening  , Rise of the Dark Realms, and Twilight's Call. These cards help you both recover from a boardwipe, meld Mishra once again by bringing out Phyrexian Dragon Engine   and plenty of other cards, while also getting powerful creatures out of your graveyard that you may have put there with Oriq Loremage or Buried Alive such as Lorcan, Warlock Collector and Etali, Primal Storm. Mishra, Lost to Phyrexia     can provide Archpriest of Shadows with Menace and Trample to make it easier to get such cards out of your graveyard. All your haste enablers make it so that you can attack the moment you reanimate, and if you reanimate lots of creatures Purphoros, God of the Forge will really hurt. Reanimating Ardent Elementalist also allows you to bring back the mass reanimate spell you just used.
