Yeah, I didn't notice it before. Thanks, pryoplasm.

is Counterspell ban in tiny leaders? if not i recommend running it lol cause i mean its the best counter spell ever! i also recommend Chill for the sideboard throws a giant curve ball at mono red burn players which there are also Second Chance is great to help get maybe that last bit of mill in if you need it for more here is my tiny leaders deck http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/05-07-15-rayne-tiny-leaders/

Counterspell is not banned, but a bit expensive for my budget. That's why I'm trying to use Deprive or Prohibit instead.

My playgroup don't use so much red, so I'll pass Chill, but Second Chance seems a nice option if I can find a place for it. Thanks!

I'm not from US, so even the cheaper versions I can find here are expensive, unfortunately.

If I can get one, I'll put in this deck.

Monastery Siege could act as another dictate of kruphix.

July 22, 2015 12:55 p.m.

jimmynitos says... #8

Dictate makes my opponents draw too, so its better than Siege, but this is a more versatile card and can help sometimes. I'll test it, thanks!

I think Monastery Siege is a perfect card. You have tons of buffers against a bunch of kinds of decks but burn is one you only help. So Monastery Siege on dragons mode could turn a Lightning Bolt into a 3 mana spell and a Lightning Strike into a 4 mana spell! I think you need that card in there.

Also... why the Urza lands? Most of your cards are very cheap so they are really only good for a Blue Sun's Zenith an okay card in your deck.

jimmynitos says... #11

In my playgroup there is not a single burn deck, so Monastery Siege probably will fit in sideboard.

I don't tested this deck yet, but the Urza lands helps to cast BSZ, Prosperity and Recall. Also, I need to keep blue mana open for activated abilities and counter/bounce spells. Maybe they're not necessary, but I can't actually know without testing.

I think Sphinx's Tutelage would fit perfectly in here

jimmynitos says... #13

Sphinx's Tutelage is just a mill strategy, what I'm trying to avoid, but yeah, it fits perfectly.

Anyway, thanks for your input.

As I said before, I'm not from US. The taxes should cost me more than buying in my country =/

If you are located in Europe, maybe Magiccardmarket.eu might be able to help you out. If you are ok with foreign language cards, it can save you even more.

Theres a good rundown on it as part of the deck Mikaeus, Extreme Sub $20 Budget EDH, not mine, but its a work of art.

Actually I'm from Brazil, and import products from US and Europe seems too much expensive right now.

I'll probably look for trading the expensive cards and Counterspell as well. Thanks for the tips, anyway.

Hey jimmynitos nice deck you've got here! +1

I'm also playing Kami in Tiny Leaders, though my deck is full out on the mill strategy and is pretty expensive/competitive. If you wanna have a look I have written a complete deck tech for it, just click here. I'm sure you can find inspiration from it!

How has the urza land combo been going for you? From a quick hypergeometric calculation on a website I am getting 6% probability of having the 3 pieces together by drawing 20 cards. That's pretty low probability but maybe I'm missing something?

By looking at your mana chart your mana curve looks rather high on the 3cmc stuff, I don't know if you had any issues with that but maybe you could try and lower it down a bit.

EssTea, thanks for the feedback!

Actually I'm finishing other deck and don't put time to test this build yet, so I can't answer your questions by now, but the Urza lands may be replaced for Islands and a Academy Ruins, if I can get one (and the combo not being good enough).

The cmc seems a real problem, but a Ponder/Brainstorm and some cards from maybeboard can reduce it a little. I'll try to focus on this deck by the next week and bring the results here.

This deck is so hilarious that I love it hahaha! Tiny Leaders is an amazing format for the wackiest brews.

Font of Mythos and Time Spiral are great cards to put in. I don't get why you chose Counterspell over Arcane Denial. Yes, it has the "may", but if your opponent does not want to draw, it's still his loss because you get an extra card, and a 2 mana counter spell that lets you draw a card is amazing value. Also, Consecrated Sphinx combos very well with Laboratory Maniac.

jimmynitos says... #25

Nightdragon779, Font of Mythos, Time Spiral and Consecrated Sphinx are not legal in Tiny Leaders.

I choose Counterspell because I find one for cheap, while Arcane Denial is expensive right now. That's why I'm running Prohibit and Dispersal Shield as well.
