Nice deck, I really like it! Really excited to see the UW version of it, and if you still need some ideas for this one, lemme know.

I'm excited for it too; however, it won't be a pure mill as I'm going to add a Psychosis Crawler as another win condition. Just switching to UW for more stall and protection early game. Should I post that as a separate deck or just add it to the updates on this one?

If you decide, for some reasons, to make an aggro version of this deck, I'd suggest Diviner's Wand .

Ah! Do you know of the existence of Notion Thief ? It could be helpful because, right now, you are giving a lot of card draw to your opponent...

Huh, Diviner's Wand is an interesting card; that thing would make a Psychosis Crawler huge! I don't know what I would take out for it though; I'll put it in maybeboard for now. :)

As for Notion Thief , I really would like to avoid splashing for the black.. That, and the opponent drawing is kind of like milling them (well you know, thinning out their deck.) Once a couple Erasures are out, milling becomes very fast, especially when they're drawing so many cards as well. Thanks for the suggestions Dusk!

You are welcome! I agree for what concerne splashing black, however, notice that Notion Thief , allows you to draw cards in place of your opponents, so you could double the benefits from Jace's Erasure without risks. Of course, you will need some adjustments then, like adding a couple more Elixir of Immortality

A_Magikarp says... #7

That is true; partly the reason I was maybe going for a couple Consecrated Sphinx s. Just a matter of dishing out the cash for them.. But it'd be great because I'd draw double for every card the opponent draws. But I will keep Notion Thief into consideration. :)

Great deck! +1

Psychic Possession would increase the decs potency and its effect stacks.

A_Magikarp says... #10

Hmm.. I'll have to think on Psychic Possession ; I understand I draw just the same amount when they do, but I don't know if that's worth missing out on my own draw step. We'll see, thanks for the suggestion Octopi. :)

May I suggest Trepanation Blade ? For the lulz I suppose

June 26, 2014 7:14 a.m.

A_Magikarp says... #12

Trepanation Blade is a very good mill card; I don't think my creature base fits well with it though, as it requires me to hit for some damage for the effect to go off. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Just something I think would work well: maybe going turbo-fog? That would maybe let you go modern. Just an idea, since it would be pretty funny... : )

June 29, 2014 4:20 p.m.

A_Magikarp says... #14

Sorry Scorprix, hubs aren't my strong suit; would you be able to explain turbo-fog to me? From what I've seen just trying to google it is just multiple ways of damage prevention? Assuming this, I would have to expand this maybe a B/G or Bant? Hmm.. Might be interesting.. I did at one point think Sphere of Safety would be an excellent addition to the deck. Lol Maybe I'll try making a version of that as well :)

June 29, 2014 8:20 p.m.

Scorprix says... #15

Well, turbo-fog means using cards like Fog that prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to you that turn. It's more of a Simic (B/G) thing. It tries to make games go so long that mill and similar strategies become viable. When Innistrad was standard with Mirrodin, it was actually a very viable strategy, due to cards like Jace's Erasure and Rites of Flourishing .

A_Magikarp says... #16

Gotcha; so in taking that approach, what would you suggest gets cut? (Hypothetically) Would I take out the counters and rely more on the fogs for the damage prevention? Or keep the counters and remove the creatures?

To bump it to modern I'd have to take out the Arcane Denial s and Whirlpool Rider s.. Guess I would start with those! Lol

A_Magikarp says... #17

Oh, and Dream Cache . But I can always find another (probably better) draw spell to work with!

BLEATH says... #18

Magus of the Jar , Memory Jar , Forced Fruition and Font of Mythos are all things to consider as well. This looks very similar to my own mill list. :P

A_Magikarp says... #19

Yeah, I remember see yours BLEATH and thinking to myself how it looked similar to my mill deck I had made (just hadn't posted at the time.) So, of course, I took the interest. ;) I originally had Forced Fruition in the deck, but decided to take it out; the deck is still at 63 cards, it was very hard to choose what to thin out.. :(

I will keep Font of Mythos in mind, though! All the extra draws!

Maybe some Psychic Possession can be cool with all those cards :)

July 3, 2014 1:34 p.m.

A_Magikarp says... #21

Hey Old_Man, thanks for looking at another one of my decks! See comment #8 though; I don't know if Psychic Possession would be worth me skipping out on my own drawstep. I was thinking I'd much rather have a Consecrated Sphinx in there for that. Just a matter of saving up some money to get a couple. XD

how about Hedron Crab instead of Whirlpool Rider ? you seem to have enough card draw, and the crabs would accelerate your milling by milling every turn if possible and they are very cheap to cast so there would be minimal changes to your mana curve

July 7, 2014 1:07 a.m.

A_Magikarp says... #23

I can't deny the awesomeness of Hedron Crab , but I kind of wanted to spice things up a little differently. Plus, Whirlpool Rider is a cool unexpected creature, especially with a couple of Erasures and say.. 4 or 5 cards in hand. Ends up milling more than the crab, just later on. :)

Dusk says... #24

Maybe you have enough card draw to find the 2nd or 3d Jace's erasureyou need, but what about adding a couple of Copy Enchantment ?

July 7, 2014 4:14 a.m.

A_Magikarp says... #25

Hmm.. I'll have to think on Copy Enchantment . I mean, If I draw those before I draw a Jace's Erasure , then it's just a dead card in my hand.. Although, it could also copy anyone's enchantment on the field.. I shall accept it as a maybe. I just don't know what I would take out to put it in, and the deck is already over 60 cards.. Thanks again for the suggestion, Dusk. :)
