I would use scry lands to give Flamespeaker Adept that extra boost

That's a matter of expense more than anything. I'll add them as I can afford to. :D

They don't get above 10 dollars, which isn't bad for standard

I know, but I've been prepping for GTP's and getting the hallowed fountains, steam vents, and Boros Charms (latter because they're hard to come by in my town) my budget for this deck is higher than most. I only started playing again about the beginning of M14, and my budget is very limited every 2 weeks right now (full time student, full time work at a game store).
I have to be very careful about my purchases.

I also only barely started dipping in to white at all... was avoiding it until I started prepping for the GTP's.

Have you ever ran into the problem where you don't draw into enough creatures? Seeing how you only run 12 in the mainboard. I used to play a deck very similar, except I used Young Pyromancers and Guttersnipes instead of Nivix Cyclops and Battlewise Hoplites. When I faced control, I couldn't apply enough pressure with my creatures, against aggro they just rushed me, and against midrange their creatures just outclassed mine.

The primary aspect of this is that the Nivix Cyclops and the Flamespeaker Adepts get even more out of the buffs, so they become huge very quickly (a Boros Charm and a Titan's Strength makes Nivix Cyclops a 10/5 double strike by itself). There's 7 different ways to give double strike, 7 different ways to give the creature avoidance (counting God's Willing), a decent spattering of protection with God's Willing and Boros Charm (double duty out of my cards is always a plus).
I am making some alterations to the deck. Replacing the Hoplites with Anax and Cymede to stop chump blockers and even big blockers. I am considering expanding to 16-17 creatures to ensure less mulligans, but I don't normally worry if I have to mulligan once in 3 rounds. If I do it will be Young Pyromancer .

Thanks... It's not quite as quick as I'd like, more mid-range than aggro against removal, but that's part of what the sideboard will help with.
It still kills in one to two attacks against the opponent, and typically out of nowhere.

Lightning Helix would be a little life gain for the deck along with ajani Vengeant. Serum Visions would add even more scry

I like the deck. I love America decks in general. This is a different concept. It works pretty well. I would suggest putting Voyage's End in instead of the Bident of Thassa . It seems too high cost for this concept and 2 potential spells(voyage's end) that could save you from a painfully strong creature or could get rid of a blocker so you can do damage seems like a better choice. +1. I would give another if I could. Also, if you want to share in the love for America, check out my Merican Control deck and give your opinion. I would appreciate it and your input seems like it would be helpful and worthwhile. (Chuck Norris Approves of dis 'Merican Control Deck)
