still hard... —May 6, 2021

Just finished playing a like 10 minute turn that I could have done in like 30 seconds. Felt like shit since I just held everyone else up the whole time and could have won so much quicker. Rather than let a cloud of gloom rest over my head from it though I'm going to focus on practicing lines so I can better see them as they come.

What happened this time around was I drew a ton from Vilis, Broker of Blood early on from a strong early reanimation, then had just way too many potential options to settle for. Lots of interaction kept coming my way and so I couldn't see a clear line at the time. I did end up milling into Parallax Tide though, and with Emeria Shepherd in the graveyard + reanimation in hand and Zur the Enchanter *f-etch* in play, I should have just checked for Seal of Cleansing in the grave and tutored it. I was so afraid of something happening to Zur the Enchanter *f-etch* though that I wanted to play the Lightning Greaves in hand for protection, but then maybe I should put them on the reanimated Sun Titan instead, and oh god I have 5 landfall triggers from Emeria Shepherd freaking out over Planar Birth which was only made possible by a Doom Whisperer who I used to surveil down to 7 health so I could Reanimate Sun Titan without dying and oh god actually that turn was a lot harder than I thought. Maybe I should cut myself some slack. Still felt weirdly stressed though during that game; maybe it was just the table. I hate taking long turns, though, that's for sure, even though they usually do end up winning.

Beginning to think Vilis, Broker of Blood should have a Fish subtype since he's so well fed in this list...
